If you want a modern faceless hotel then this place is not for you. This hotel is how a country hotel should be, large roaring fire, real ale on tap, good wholesome food, comfortable rooms and all at very reasonable prices. Dogs are very welcome in fact I would say they are positively encoraged with treats and bowls of water...

Great food, wonderful company and total relaxation! Feeling very festive in front of a roaring fire. We love coming to visit. Such a warm and homely place and even better when the weather is cold! Thank you Geina and Phil. Already looking forward to coming back again!

We stayed just one night at the Kings Arms, we selected this hotel because they accept dogs in some rooms. The room allocated was clean and well furnished and the en suite was good. The hotel is not the posh-ist in North Yorkshire and the food not quite Michelin rated but everything was good value. And, given the weather it...

The menu outside offered a large selection of varied large and small choices. My daughter selected a baked potato with prawns Marie Rose sauce and I decided to have the same in a sandwich. The potato was cooked in a microwave and had a thin unappetising skin. The prawns were cheap, frozen and resultantly rubbery. The sandwich was made of...

We stayed for two nights 4 people with a dog. The price was per room on the internet and was around standard for this type of accommodation. We arrived and the barmen checked us in and without any input from me told me that prices were quoted for single occupancy which I found strange when you are booking a room...

Don’t do what we did. Plan to try out all of the pub food in Reeth over the course of a week and then start with the Kings Arms. You may not eat anywhere else! Great, friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Superb, well cooked and presented food. Not over fluffy. Real food. Interestingly they serve a homemade selection of curries and...
