Stayed over Easter weekend and had enjoyable time. Lots of walks in the forest and close by is Symonds Yat with the great Saracens head pub. We chose forest holidays as we had four dogs and no other company allows so many. The shop on site sold the basics including a range of pre- prepared foods which were enjoyable. Wine...

Having stayed in a Forest Holiday lodge before, we knew exactly what to expect and were not disappointed. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The customer service is very good in the two locations we have stayed in. The first impressions of the lodge were that is was spacious, clean, warm and inviting. The lodges just feel welcoming...

Have stayed here quite a few times, check in very efficient. Cabins homely although a little tired looking now. Normally stay in golden oak 4, this time stayed in silver birch 3. Woodland cabins are better than those in the meadow as less footfall past the cabin. Had a few problems on the first night but was quickly resolved and...

Just had a lovely stay in cabin on the edge of the meadow, number 88, Golden Oak, for 6 of us plus baby. Turns out had best of both worlds at this spot. The living room / kitchen / decking side of cabin overlooks the woodland so more private. See pics for both angles. The retreat / reception was just...

We have just returned from a wonderful long weekend in the forest of dene, in a silver birch cabin. The accommodation is lovely, and it really feels like you are living in the forest. The kitchen is very well equipped. And the beds are comfy. All of the living areas face onto the forest, and we had lots of wildlife...

We are a family that love that other woodland based holiday company after being to 3 of their sites but Forest Holidays was suggested to us and we saw it for a reasonable price at the beginning of April so took the gamble. Well that gamble certainly paid off. We went Mon 3rd April - Fri 7th April and got...

Me, my husband and 5 month old daughter visited Forest Holidays: Forest of Dean for 4 nights, Monday to Friday at the end of January (into early February). We have previously stayed at Deerpark (Cornwall) and Blackwood Forest (Hampshire) but chose this particular site this time as it is only just over an hour away from where we live. We...

Booked into Forest Holidays in the Forest of Dean, as we wanted a change rom center parcs and wanted to visit the area with the kids. We booked a basic forest lodge, but it still cost nearly £800 for 5 days (Monday - Friday) in the Easter holidays. Whilst the lodge is comfortable, we did have a number of issues...

Having read other reviews on this site and it being six years since our last visit we were a little apprehensive. We were placed in a Golden Oak Cabin in the Meadow area. Yes it was a little more overlooked than the woodland cabin but not exactly Picadilly Circus!! A few folk walked past each day on the woodland walk...
