Having stayed at Cliff View on numerous occasions I’m still thrilled after each visit. Judy is so welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The bedrooms are spotless and very comfortable. Judy does an amazing breakfast the best ever poached eggs and her homemade jam is superb. Sandsend is a pure delight and North Yorkshire has a lot to... More

We stayed at Cliff View for five nights and had a lovely relaxing time. Judy was a great host and was there to meet us when we arrived. She was so friendly and helpful (even offered her shed for us to store our tandem!). On arrival she made us tea and little strawberry scones. She was the perfect host throughout... More

Exceptional standard in all areas. Spotless accommodation. Excellent range of breakfast options and special diets catered for. Judy is a fabulous hostess and goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Lovely extra touches - mini cream tea on arrival, home baked biscuits in the room, homemade preserves with breakfast and advice on... More

We had a two night break at the Cliff View. We were welcomed on arrival by our wonderful host with tea coffee, home-made cakes (delicious!) and fresh strawberries. We had a sea-view room which was spacious and tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed, chairs, TV, hospitality tray which included fantastic home-baked biscuits, a kettle, a selection of tea and coffee.... Booked Cliff View for my Mum whilst we were staying in our caravan nearby. From the minute I contacted Judy, the owner, I felt this was the right place for Mum to be as a single traveller and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Mums room was Ness View which was squeaky clean, and a wonderful bright room. Judy... More

We stayed at Cliff View for 5 nights. The room was spotless, the breakfasts were spot on and very tasty which set us up for the whole day. Judy, our host was attentive and nothing was too much trouble - basically the answer was "yes" to any request. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from our third stay at Cliff View and, as before, it didn't disappoint. Unfortunately this time the weather could have been better but other than that it was an absolute pleasure in every respect. Cliff View and Judy - perfect! Highly recommended.

We recognise many of the positive comments made by other reviewers: the warm welcome, Judy's determination to make our stay enjoyable and the cleanliness of the room. But it was not positive in every aspect. The view from Ness View was not quite as we expected, the bed might have benefited from airing and WiFi was not available in the... More

Many thanks for the time taken to write your review. We are sorry that the views from your room were not quite as you expected, photographs on the website are accurate but we will add some more.
