We stayed at the Woodlands for 3 nights at the end of February. We were met by Caroline, the owner, and we immediately felt at home. The room was clean and well decorated . Tea & coffee making facilities were provided on a tray as well as toiletries in the bathroom. The hotel had a bright and airy dining room...

We were stunned by the beautiful, peaceful location. We were greeted by pheasants and ducks around the garden. The room was very tasteful and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The sound of birdsong and trickling river was all you could hear. Very near to lovely beaches and clifftop walks and a lovely local pub

Had a lovely weekend staying at The Woodlands Hotel- off main road so a really quiet location and yet just a short walk down to beach( bit too cold for a swim though!) and close to restaurants/pub. Caroline was really welcoming and our meal that we had in the hotel on Saturday was delicious. Great walks from doorstep- will definitely...

We spent a long weekend at this beautifully peaceful boutique hotel, the location just could not be better! It is within easy walking distance of the delightful Sandsend beach and a five minute drive to the historic harbour town of Whitby; the hostess Caroline could not be faulted, her attention to detail and requirements of her guests are without doubt...
