We rented from the brothers Amaury and Thibault who were very pleasant and easy to work with. Their unit is very nice, clean, all the necessities, cable, wifi and all the kitchen tools you would need. The bed was clean and comfortable and we slept well. The residence is very quiet and the ocean breeze is wonderful. The cons of...

Staying in Amaury & Thibault's villa was a great experience! We stopped at Amaury's restaurant in Grand Case to pay the balance and pick up the keys - going to the villa from there was easy - leaving Grand Case turn left at the main road, keep going until you reach the round about and take the 3rd road to...

First time we have been to St Martin, but not our last. Having stayed on 10 to15 different islands in the Caribbean this is one of the best. We normally stay at high end all inclusive resorts so this was a big change, but with some mind adjustments it was great. We rented from Frank Vanneste in the Aruba building,...

This is not a service oriented area, Mount Vernon is a collection of owned and short term rental units. Convenience store and pizza place are only open mornings and evenings after 5:30 and closed Saturday and Sunday so make sure you bring food with you unless you wish to walk down the beach some distance to a beach restaurant. The...

We rented our studio from Thibault and Amaury, the owners of Bistrot Caraibes in Grand Case. It was absolutely fantastic, very relaxing, great walks on the beach, not many people around. On Friday, there might have been 4 dozen people at the pool, but most of the time maybe 1 - 2 dozen. We stayed in the Aruba unit and...

You won't find a traditional booking site or hotel listing for the Mount Vernon Beach Resort, but with any luck you'll find a gem along Orient Beach. The former Mount Vernon Beach Resort is now privately owned studios, a mix of locals and visitors. Studios and apartments are commonly listed through search engines such as FlipKey and others. Our specific...

Our family rented a studio in this former hotel (now converted into owner-occupied or rented studios) for 2 weeks over the holidays. The studio we rented was in Anguilla building, very lose to the lobby but a bit of a steep walk fro beach and pool area. We did not mind the walk as the grounds are very pretty and...

I found this rental property here on trip advisor & was initially reluctant to rent vs stay in a hotel like my other 2 trips to St Maarten but after we arrived & saw this place I knew my husband & I made the right decision. The rental property is located in the old Mount Vernon hotel on Orient Beach...

It is a Hotel converted to european style apartments, condition depends on how and when owner renovated. Its about 10 min walk to the center of the beach where all the bars are - lots of food and drink choices. Beach is very nice. You need a car to get grossers and to move around the island.

This was our first time renting a place at Orient Beach and I have to say , I was very happy with the outcome. I checked out probably 20 places on the web site "Home Away" and the place I decided on was great. I'll start with the pros--I loved the location of this resort. It was at the end...

“$40 one way taxi fare to Phillipsburg; $20 to Marigot; $10 to the Pinel Island Ferry; plan accordingly if you want to see anything other than Orient Beach; Rent a car for a day or two; very friendly locals will deliver to the hotel and pick up ... HIGHLY recommend Pinel. Very calm waters with two restaurants on the Isle; we brought food/drink in a backpack; It's a $7 RT ferry boat ride or rent a kayak to get there if adventurous”

“YodaGuy Apartments are good--and Nick and Gloria are very helpful. Also, check to see if there are beachview units available during your stay. They will cost about $100-$200 more per week, but if overlooking the beach in the morning and evening are important to you, just do it. It's well worth it. No matter where you stay in Mt. Vernon, just open your balcony or patio door at night and sleep to the crashing waves of the beach below.”
