Rooms are ok... not great or modern but for the area it was suitable to stay. We stayed on business there in January 2016 and we were there during the coldest streak of weather in 100 years, it actually snowed. We were not fully prepared for this weather and traveling locally was miserable cold and wet. HOTEL-ROOM The room itself...

We were recommended to stay here by our family who visit the Kaiping area often. They said it is by far the nicest hotel in the area. When I arrived I was taken aback by the elegance and vastness of the hotel lobby. It seemed like something out of a movie. The registration staff was very good. I think it...

This is a lovely hotel and was recommended by our interpreter and relatives as the best in Kaiping. We stayed for 2 nights as part of our visit to our “Ancestral” village. The front desk was very helpful in finding a driver with mini-bus to take our group of 10 plus an interpreter to the village. All this was arranged...

This is the most luxurious hotel in Kaiping which is a small town. We booked the room slightly cheaply than on-the-spot via ctrip website. The hotel room is clean and basic. Although it is five star in Chinese standard (but I think Chinese hotel rating system has more than five stars), it would be about 3.5 star by international standard....

I stayed in the Pan Tower International hotel in Kaiping for three weeks in total. It's a quite large hotel, with a traditional look (lots of red and gold). For an international hotel, I was a bit surprised that the hotel staff barely speaks English. Only a few receptionists were able to help you in English. Restaurant and other hotel...

First time to this hotel. I was fortunate to have a host for my second trip to China for business. After reading reviews here I discussed the "hard bed" with my host and he recommended I "upgrade" when checking in so I did. So for $90 USD a night I got a very comfortable / soft bed and worth every...

After looking at quite a few hotel options in the area, we picked this hotel. Kaiping is a bit off the beaten path, but we always found one or 2 people that could help us, who spoke English, as we didn't speak Chinese. The hotel is very large and has a few different restaurants in it. Our room included breakfast...

I stayed in room 1801 for one night. First thing I noticed was that the garbage bin next to the desk still had waste in it from a previous guest. The room itself is very plainly furnished and worthy of a 4 star rating as far as the room is concerned. The room was cold and there was no heat...

Our group of five enjoyed our two nights at this modern Chinese hotel. Our rooms were large, well appointed, clean and everything worked with plenty of electrical outlets. The breakfast buffet was embellished with Asian and western choices and the brewed coffee was superb! There were no exchange facilities at the hotel; outside you will find banks but please allow...

Firstly, this is a 5 star hotel by chinese standarts only! More likely a 3 1/2 stars by international standards! Our stay didn't start on a positive note, when upon arrival we decided to have lunch in the hotel restaurant, as we arrived after the lunchtime rush, I did notice that there were a lot of napkins on the floor,...
