This lovely lodge type hotel is set in beautiful gardens with a large lake. The lodges are huge and have all the facilities you could require given the location.
of course the main reason is to be able to walk to the Orang-utan Rehab Centre...More
Stayed here for few nights on tour around Borneo. Lodges were simply beautiful, so tranquil and the location to the nearby orang-utan sanctuary was fantastic. The food was great and so staff so friendly. Definitely recommend if your looking for a little piece of paradise...More
We stayed one night here because the location was great to visit the rehabilitation and conservation centre. The property has cabins set around a lake, with the main dining area overlooking the water. We only had one night here Which was comfortable, the food was...More
This was part of a day trip from Kota Kinabalu and entailed a very short flight over to Sandakan, then a short bus ride.

Within Sepilok you will see the orangutans through glass at the outdoor nursery and then there's the feeding platform where you can't necessarily guarantee sightings as this is for the more independent orangutans.
We were lucky enough to see a wild alpha male close up in Sepilok as they will sometimes come into the centre.
Nothing beats seeing orangutans in the wild (Kinerbatangan River at the Bilit Rainforest Lodge) but with nature it's just a matter of waiting, keeping your eyes open and a bit of luck - which we had aplenty with sightings of 8 orangutans in the wild.

I'd recommend staying longer in Langkawi (it's beautiful) than staying for 4 nights in Sepilok - there's not much to do in Sepilok so you do it in a day/maximum 2. Or we went to Perhentian Islands too if you can get over... More
