This was part of a day trip from Kota Kinabalu and entailed a very short flight over to Sandakan, then a short bus ride. The visit was very good and for anyone that love nature and conservation then this is a a worthwhile trip.

I'd recommend staying longer in Langkawi (it's beautiful) than staying for 4 nights in Sepilok - there's not much to do in Sepilok so you do it in a day/maximum 2. Or we went to Perhentian Islands too if you can get over... More

We booked with expedia online- wasn't too expensive from memory. It does get booked very quickly however. Given location you will find the few hotels there are a similar price.
