We know this hotel since 2009 . We stayied there 5 times . At the begginning Paganakan was wonderfull . They built an extention , not really welldone , and since then the quality started to decrease .The menu changed .They reduce the choice and the quantity become smaller , The surrounding of the reception and the restaurant need to...

Stayed here in June 2012. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Located close to the Orangutans and I'd recommend staying in Sepilok over Sandakan. The rooms were basic but nice. We booked a Duplex stilt hut as there were 3 of us but would've been better if there was a mosquito net over the double bunk in the room...

Great place to relax. Secluded location, comfortable. Free shuttle service is wonderful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Though they could have given a bit better advice regarding the bus to Kota Kinabalu. Food was good but portions were a bit small and sometimes will be out of things if you don't preorder your lunch or dinner. Good free breakfast.

Most comfortable beds I've had in Borneo. Nice shower and quality design of the place. Good for the money. Free wifi and shuttle to orangutans and rainforest centre. Nothing immediately I can think of that I didn't like. Surprised by the bad reviews on here. I don't think their expectations were in line with the actual budget range.

Lovely jungle views, slept soundly and well. Maybe would not have been the case if the room next door wad occupied. Liked the showering "outside" and the quirky features of the place including big swing. Simple menu was available to purchase meals each day. Included breakfast was nice - omelette, sausage and toast. Good pick up and drop off to...

Stayed for 3 nights, I'm both dorm and stilted hut. Views are amasing over jungle. Can't believe this place is so cheap! Has a chic but minimalist style. Fits perfect in the jungle! Place is kept really clean and really does feel like a jungle retreat! Dorms are nice with fans and comfy new wooden bunks. Stilted Rooms are lovely....

We stayed for 2 nights with our children in one of the new ridge buildings in December,on the recommendation of Lonely Planet Guide despite their being mixed reports on Trip Advisor! We had a fabulous time - it is so lovely to find a budget place that is designed aesthetically in a lovely setting. The staff were so lovely and...

We stayed here for 3 nights in September and had a great time. They have a free shuttle that to the Sepilok Sanctuary and breakfast is included in the price. You can also eat (a pretty) dinner there every night, which is nice since there aren't that many other restaurants nearby (except near the sanctuary). It's a great place to...

We stayed in one of the 130 a night double rooms for two nights. It was fantastic. The food was great (the breakfast sausage was a bit weird but nothing too bad), I recommend to beef curry. The service was excellent, shuttles were prompt, staff helpful and friendly. Facilities were great stunning view from the room, comfortable, well made bed,...

The place is pretty awesome.. Overlooking a river and forested area.. It's pretty close to sepilok sanctuary and has a free shuttle... There are no stay rants close by, only near sepilok.. And the food is very very average, even the local food!! Bizarre, but we still really liked the place and the rooms are well done and comfy..
