We stay at Vea Resort every year in the past four years, is a beautiful hotel, beautiful view, great service, rooms are very nice with balcony and beautiful views of The Valley, nice restaurant and typical Italian breakfast I never did a review for this place before, but my only complaint is the AC ( every year is the same problem) they have a system of full control of the temperature ( from desk )and shuts of every other hour! In August is already hot in Italy, I don’t have any problem to sweat outside but when I’m on my room I like to be comfortable!
Great spacious familyroom, with shared balcony. Very clean. But no soundproofing in the walls, we could hear everything our neighbours were saying/doing. We used the hotel for a week as a base for trips to Amalfi coast, Pompei, Naples, Vesuv and so on. It was a great quiet spot for that. We chose the hotel because of location but also the pool. Upon arrival we were told that the pool was open 24/7, but it was closed most of sunday and when we came back from a long hot day out yesterday and wanted to spend the rest of the day by the pool it closed at 19.00. I suggest you inform your guest more than just a note in the elevator (everyone does not use the elevator). Also the hotels own website says pizza is served saturdays, which was not the case the saturday we were there.
The hotel is nice, big nice rooms and actually really good breakfast with pancakes and delicious coffee! It’s in the middle of nowhere so you have to like the few things you can order for lunch.. the hotel has a restaurant but we went to the local pizzeria( 1 km). The hotel would have been so much better with small adjustments... like a strops on the balcony for drying bathing clothes.. or communications between the Resepsjon and the restaurant and the spa. .. like the opening hours.. or how to book the spa.. you need ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.. a lot of noise in the morning.. the pool is nice and the breakfast staff is good. If you are a large group this is the place! If you are a small family.. it’s the place if you want a real quiet stay... I think the best part of the hotel is the staff , they are very helpful...…
We have just return from Italy. We spent 4 nights in this hotel, we got a huge complex with full equipped kitchen (room 114) but not in the right side of the hotel, so we missed the beautiful view.... and we missed a full body mirror, (we had only square mirror in the bathroom..) and no safe.... The staff is very friendly and helpful. The public area is good reserved so is the room. We had some problem with breakfast... no vegetables, (so we bought some tomatoes) ..one day no enough boiled eggs... The hotel has a swimming pool and it is a simple modern design.
Make sure what ever happens you request the rooms overlooking the mountain, otherwise your stay here will be futile. Room and bathroom was kept immaculately clean with plenty of towels but very limited amenities. Breakfast was probably Italian style with pastries and yogurt not the traditional continental.
