Although it was a bit of drive to area restaurants and the Barollo wineries our group of six couples were visiting, we all thought this small hotel was an amazing find. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast spread was much more than we expected. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my Wife on a cycling tour of Piedmont with Headwater. The hotel is really very nice and looks impressive when you first go through the gates. The room was a superior which was nice but a tad old fashioned. We had a small terrace and chairs and tables but it was a bit...

Driving into the sleepy - nay, dead - town of Castiglione Tinella and turning into this Albergo, I never expected to be greeted with such a top class hotel. Service was tremendous - all staff members were helpful and English-speakers - free bike rental available, and a nice pool area a short walk up the road. Rooms were spotless, all...

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as part of a cycling tour of Piedmont. The hotel was beautiful. We had a very warm welcome from Claudia and a lovely spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was a delicious spread - we particularly enjoyed the home-made hazelnut cake! Claudia's family also make Moscato wine, which is definitely worth trying. It's...

We stayed three nights in this terrific hotel in the Alta Lange region. The hotel is located in a quiet and attractive village conveniently located to Alba, Asti, and the vineyards growing the grapes used in making some of the best Italian wines . The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable and made several excellent restaurant reservations. The rooms were...

We only stayed at the Albergo Castiglione for one night on the way from France to Northern Italy, so we chose it mainly for its handy location. As it happens, we discovered that it is a lovely hotel and we were disappointed to be only "passing through". Unfortunately it was drizzling on the day we arrived so we couldn't take...

We spent 10 days in 3 different areas of Italy, Florence, San Gimignano and Castiglione Tinella. This stay in the hills surrounded by vineyards and snow covered mountains was the highlight. The hotel is an old house in the middle of a small village. It's newly renovated charm is warm, relaxing and accomodations of both the sitting areas and sleeping...
