Oh dear, according to website our party should have been staying in a first class hotel beautifully decorated with every convenience! Sadly not the case. Good things first: fellow party members and a great time was had. Staff were very helpful and did their best -all my criticisms are aimed at owners/managers. Now the bad: my room had no remote...

Staff and food very good, however the rooms need some TLC and soon!!, no headboard to the bed, very cheap ineffective fan, linen and bath towels not great quality - this Inn could be so much better, my room smelt musty and quite offensive ( sprayed my perfume to cover the smell) the receptionist was very attentive and offered to...

Quiet and relaxing place at a historic buildings. Nice people in front desk, specially Maria. Be aware that rooms have no proper blinds. If sensitive to light like me, you'll wake up earlier than expected

This is rather a charming hotel if a little tired and in need of some TLC. However, a new manager has been brought in and is gradually improving standards etc. We had a 3 day event at this hotel and despite some concerns things generally went smoothly with only a few glitches and a very good time was had by...

882 years old pub :) lots of history here. We had Sunday roast lunch and stayed a few hours. Good food and excellent surroundings, this place has a secret passage to the priory used by the plotters who lead to Charles II going into exile - well worth the visit

Didn't stay here but booked in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The first shock was the price for 2 bottles of Pepsi. Over £3.50 each for standard small bottle. We then sat down for lunch and were presented with the menus - not good when the spelling was "main corse". Neither of us fancied a starter so we went...

Called in for a late lunch. The restaurant was closed which we knew so had a bar snack. The food was good but expensive for what we had, a pulled pork bun and chips, a salad and 1.5 pints of lime and soda £32. The drinks were £7. We found out that they use bottled soda and a shot of...

Lovely old pub hotel in a quiet little village, rooms were clean and had all you needed for a nights stay, comfy bed, modern tv, tea and coffee facilities, would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone,...

This is a beautiful village sadly spoiled by hundreds of signs telling you what not to do or where NOT to go. The Olde Bell looks charming but is outrageously overpriced. Two diet cokes for £7.20! Need I say more?

Booked a room at the Olde Bell Inn for my partners birthday as we were having dinner in Harlow on the 10th May 17.
