Based on the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor we chose this hotel as a stopover en-route from Scotland to Heathrow, we were not disappointed, it is a lovely place to stay. The owners were very helpful and friendly, our room in the coach house comfortable, clean and quiet, dinner and breakfast excellent, what more could one ask for? The garden...

This is my third time at this hotel and it always impresses. The classic and comfortable furnishings extend from the reception rooms to the bedrooms. The food is exquisite and the quality of service and presentation is reflected in all areas of the hotel.

We needed somewhere to stay near Penrith on a Saturday night that had a good restaurant and didn't have the 2 night requirement that many of the 'posh' hotels have in the area. This was a real find - very friendly, good room and excellent bathroom (we booked a superior double). We had hoped that the bed would be larger...

Thank you so much for your review and we're so glad you enjoyed your evening at TSH! We have many guests staying for one night only, on their way to or from Scotland, and we're in a very handy spot for a stopover...as you say, many hotels do not offer one night stays at the weekend. We at TSH recognise...

We went to TSH for our honeymoon last weekend. What an incredible place. The house is perfectly located in a small village near to the A66. The hosts Paul and Julie were exceptionally warm and welcoming. They have very high standards and the hotel is immaculately clean and tidy. There are a number of beautiful lounges you can relax in...

Thank you so much for your review - the Eden Valley is a beautiful corner of Cumbria and enables you to explore different landscapes in all directions.....and our own 'Garden in Eden' is a lovely spot to be on a warm Spring day, enjoying a little croquet before a drink on the terrace! Hope you'll be back soon...

Temple Sowerby is a superb small, boutique hotel in the Eden Valley, close to both the Lakes and the North Pennines. It is beautifully maintained with a choice of public rooms and comfortable bedrooms. The staff are as friendly and helpful as can be. Ashley's food is out of this world, comparing very favourably with any in top restaurants in...

A lovely old hotel for a 2 night mid winter break. We enjoyed our stay which was very relaxing and quiet. The food is all fresh, home made and cooked from scratch. Some of it I found a little too rich for my taste ( personal choice) but it can be simplified for individual taste if required. The honey ice...
