Good service, good facilities, pleasant staff, good location and has some rooms overlooking estuary. Not far from Dartmoor and south coast of Devon. Restaurant on site and also adjacent pub serving good food.

The rooms are clean and basic. Reception staff very helpful, we had a problem in our room which was delt with strait away. We waited with other guests to be seated at breakfast for about 15 mins, then waited another 10mins for a waiter to take our beverage and breakfast order, yet another 10mins to actually receive our tea and...

Booked in after 5 but welcome was still first rate. Room was large, and whilst did not have a river view was perfect for my needs. On returning to the hotel after my meeting enjoyed a quiet drink in the bar. Breakfast was superb, best I've had for sometime and overlooked the river with the sun blazing in; just right...

Stayed 3 nights on a Living Social deal and was extremely happy with our break. Lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely area. The staff are particularly worthy of praise; they couldn't do enough to help. For example, on our (reluctant) way home my wife discovered that she had lost her bracelet between leaving our room and loading the car. She rang...

As you can see we are "back again" so that speaks for itself. If you can give 5 stars for the location, the room and particularly the staff you have all you want in a hotel. We are here on a special March deal that makes our stay cheaper that any budget hotel. Our next review will most certainly be...

Overall experience of my stay was determined by the worst dinner I have ever had at a Best Western. It was inedible and was sent back. The replacement meal was only marginally better. The lock to the North Lodge bedroom wing entrance was broken, which is a clear security risk. The towel rail and extractor fan in the bathroom were...

We stayed for 3 nights last week with our friends. Staff friendly and helpful, food in restaurant great, although a fairly restricted menu in the hotel. More choice of food options in the Inn but quality not quite so good. Our friend had a problem with the meat in his Beef Strogonoff being tough but to be fair he was...

This hotel was recommended to us because we were attending a function nearby, and we were very happy staying here. Lovely room, and a nice view of the estuary. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. A lovely breakfast but the two waiters seemed barely able to cope when it got busy. (One quirky thing to report - the rooms have...
