Stayed here for the second time whilst shooting at a nearby estate between Christmas and New Year. We joined a group of 9 others for a sublime meal the evening before. My fillet steak was just divine! Room was well equipped, TV, kettle, 2 beds, good shower and bathroom, looked really clean too. Breakfast the next morning was excellent with...

This is a fabulous small hotel, family run.Clean and comfortable.Personal service++ The food is in a class of its own,and is fresh cooked and beautifully presented. Parking is easy after good access off the main road I thoroughly recommend it I think that an email connection would be very helpful.(I believe rural broadband is poor in this area) I will certainly...

Visiting Richard & Claire's unique family hotel is always a delight. Richard's chef skills never fail and his wine list works superbly. My scallops and black pudding and fillet of lamb over a wee haggis were sublime, thank you. So good to return after four years and see Harrison all grown up and supporting his parents brilliantly front of house,...

We are regular visitors, for a reason: delicious food in lovely surroundings, with friendly efficient service. This is a family run place, and the pride in the place is evident. The food is always fresh and beautifully presented, vegetables perfectly cooked. The menu is British with wonderful steaks, uber fresh fish and beautiful Sunday Roast. Today we has for pudding...

We have visited the restaurant on previous times in the area and always wanted to stay there so we were pleased to stay one night on our way to The Highlands. We were welcomed by Richard who is extremely friendly and jovial. We had 2 lovely rooms at a reasonable rate and the views from them were beautiful. The evening...

Six of us booked a meal here on recommendation from our B&B. We were met by the owner/chef who produced the most fantastic meals and catered well for all including two of us who were gluten free. The service here is second to none and you should not hesitate to dine here. Talking to some people who were staying at...

Very accommodating, excellent service and food. Total atmosphere of a leasure county house feel. The owners are absolutely fantastic no request was too much trouble. Looking forward to our third trip to this memorable location. Thank you Richard until next time. Robert Anna and Joyce .

I've just enjoyed the best afternoon tea I've had in a very long time at the March Bank. Service was very friendly and professional, the lounge was cosy and very comfortable and the food was super. It featured four very good flavour sandwiches including freshly cooked salmon with cucumber and chicken with avocado, three different types of fresh scones (cheese,...

Upon arrival at the 'Marchbank Hotel' our taxi driver was asked when we were due to be leaving!!!! Warmly welcomed by the young waiter/barkeep, we proceeded to order gins and tonic. Although the variety was good (3 in number) the quantity was slightly limited. When asked for lime or cucumber, the member of staff obliged with sourcing some of the...
