Pleasant location on the Solway estuary in a quiet seaside village. Mainly keg beers no sign of any cask beers when I called. Excellent lunch menu a cut above pub grub served in old fashioned surroundings.

This is one of my favourite places to have my tea. Right on the sea front and the food is always good. The hosts are very friendly and allowed our camper an in the car park which had toilets. Good choice of well presented varied foods. They also do a Sunday lunch which i haven't tried yet but will do....

Myself, my husband and father came for a meal. When we entered the bar area it appeared to be run by a group of teenagers who completely ignored us when we entered. Finally a woman sitting having a drink on a bar stool said to us would you like some menus. Staff need to learn some customer care sills such...

This is the first time we had visited the Steamboat but I'm told it is now in new ownership. We met the couple who own the Inn and found them both to be both hospitable and very friendly. We had both lunch and dinner and both meals were of excellent quality and good portion size. Dogs are made very welcome...

The Steamboat Inn is a cozy pub in a small village. It's interior is filled with interesting artifacts and art from a stuffed gnu to parts of a church interior. It is warm and inviting with 2 fireplaces going in the fall and winter and a lovely ambiance. The people who work at the pub and hotel are exceedingly friendly,...

Lovely views from room and from bar and restaurant. Had a meal in the restaurant which was surprisingly busy considering its location. Food was very good would recommend and...

This is our second visit in a few months and people have always given high praise of the Steamboat. However the first time we visited we had to wait 1hour for starters and another 1hour 30mins for main course which is ridiculously slow. This time the visit was exactly the same with at least a 2 hour wait for main...
