We stay in Hale when visiting family and normally stay at another B&B, where the host couldn't be more helpful. Sadly, we couldn't get in there this time, as we were booking with limited warning. The only place left in the village was The Cottage. Since we were travelling with our two dogs, we needed somewhere that was dog friendly,...

We stayed here prior to out flight as it is close John Lennon airport. What a big mistake, we were meet at the door by a male, who I presume was the owner, no welcome or introduction, we thought we had the wrong place. The house is a home/b&b and is in need of updating, it is very cluttered. The...

We stayed at the Cottage B&B for 3 nights, with our two kids (who were pretty tired after a 10-day tour across Northern England) and were greeted by Ian, the friendly but slightly shy owner of the place. He did everything he could to make us feel comfortable, while also continuing his own daily business (taking care of his own...

only stayed one night, but on arrival having stated we would be arriving between 12-1pm, and turning up at 1.45pm we followed instructions for the entrance, rang the bell and entered, we were met by Ian and told we were too early, come back at 2pm, so back in the car. we arrived back after 2pm, rooms still not ready...

The first place I visited when we arrived was the toilet which I couldn't flush as it was stuck down. My husband quickly sorted it. The bedroom window was broken and couldn't be shut or pulled close. Although it was August it was starting to get a bit chilly late at night and at 4am a cockerel started crowing and...

We stayed for a weekend at The Cottage B&B while visiting Carfest North at Bolesworth Castle. The house is very well presented and Carol the owner could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The room itself was a spacious attic room with a double bed and 2 single beds and had all of the usual amenities like TV, tea...

Me and my friend stayed here for one night as we were going into Liverpool for a concert. When we arrived there was no-one around to assist us for about 20 mins. We rang the door well many times until I wandered round the property and found the daughter who then checked me in (she was lovely). On looking around...

Needing to stay overnight in the area before a family party, my companion found this listing. Good choice! Delightful setting in achingly cute Cheshire village, warm welcome, lovely rooms with boiling hot showers/flat screen TVs, then in the morning a good English breakfast. Only slight quibbles were slightly 'unfluffy' towels and 'untasty' coffee. Otherwise superb... And the icing on the...

We visited the B&B with several family members, including a 13 year old and a 4 year old boy. They loved the chickens roaming around the garden, the rabbits that they were able to feed, and the friendly cats and dogs. Unfortunately, there was quite a lot of dog mess on the lawn, so the children had to watch their...

Came here to stay for a weeding, feel very let down by the service. I asked the male host for an iron for my shirt to which he said they don't have one, so I made him aware that his website and on the back of the bedroom doors state iron and Ironing board available. Don't stay here all very...
