Thanks to the Birch Hotel for making our birthday celebrations a brilliant success😊We booked the "Garden Room" venue for my birthday, in which I invited a variety of age groups who all enjoyed the evening and buffet provided👍🏼Our DJ, who the hotel also arranged for us, was excellent. The staff were very friendly, helpful, supportive, and polite. Everyone who attended...

The potential is there for this to be a really nice place to stay. Work needs to be done and money invested. Cons: The corridors and doors need painting. The z-bed was awful with a very thin mattress and my daughter sank in it. The wifi didn't work at all. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, nice bathroom, beds are quite...

I visited the hotel last weekend and what lovely grounds it is on! Peaceful and quiet. When having breakfast we had a window view and this was lovely. The staff are very pleasant and helpful with smiling faces to greet us. The food was beautiful I had homemade chicken currry and my partner had mixed grill. Well worth the money!...

Opening the door to my room was like stepping back 30 years. The furniture was chipped and the room was small and claustrophobic. In the main it appeared clean although there was quite a bit of mould in the bathroom. Overall the hotel felt very tired and in need of a massive refurb, don't think anything has been done for...

I stayed at this hotel with my husband this weekend for a reunion with over 50 people and I can honestly say the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Same member of staff running reception as bar on arrival meaning we had to wait ages to get our room keys. Upon entry to the room it was gloomy and...

Travelled down from Wales for a function in the hotel to find they don't serve food on weekends and couldn't have a shower as there was no hot water. We were told that everyone was showering the same time which is not my fault friends were told it's a loose wire. I needed a shower had to top and tail...

The Birch was our 3rd try at a dog friendly hotel in Greater Manchester. Room was clean and big enough for the 2 of us and 1 very large Old English Sheepdog. The grounds are lovely.
