My daughter and I stayed for an overnight spa break (a birthday gift) and whilst we did enjoy our stay there were several service related issues which let the place down. First the positive points. It is without doubt a spectacular venue, and the internal decor is very much in keeping with the castle ambiance. Our room was on the...

On our trip to the UK, we decided we had to try and stay in a castle and Dalhousie came up in our searches. The castle itself was lovely and interesting. We roamed around a bit exploring, inside and out, and were definitely impressed. Our room was just fine. The bed was reasonably comfortable and we had a lovely view...

I had high expectations, the hotel fell short overall. The castle is an amazing building and is in a great location. We were welcomed in the lobby by a fantastic older gentleman dressed in traditional Scottish regalia. The room was on the small side and was OK but I expected higher quality. The hotel can be a little noisy. You...

My fiance and I are having our wedding reception at Dalhousie Castle this December. We recently went for our wedding menu tasting and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lynsey, our waitress, was very polite and friendly and added to the experience. She couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent! Especially the toffee cheesecake. Really looking forward to our wedding meal....

True storybook, castle wedding. Location and grounds were idyllic. Ramsey bedroom was stunning, however there were cobwebs that needed dealt with in some of the upper corners. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There were some service issues when they did not have a full complement of staff, however that did not impact our stay. Services for the wedding were...

Our son recently got married at Dalhousie Castle. The staff and the rooms were so beautiful! Some smaller than others. Some darker than others. Some brighter. Some quite large. All different. Room 14 and 5 very bright with large four poster bed and big windows. Though, Room 12, Sir Oliver Cromwell's room, definitely haunted, dark, no views, and I heard...

we had a little snafu at checking in (we arrived close to midnight, and the receptionist cannot find our reservations that we booked through Kayak). But they were nice enough to let us check in to a room in the basement. The next day they found our reservation and put us up in a very nice room on the top...

A friend and I stayed in April 2015. We had a great room and took advantage of the falconry, which was incredible, and the dungeon dinner, which was delicious. We had a problem with our toilet that would not stop running, we had to call down several times to have them come fix it. They were very prompt in their...

Beautiful room and location. Loved the falconry. Excellent food at lunch and dinner although service speed was average. Friendly staff. Would return. Lovely pre-dinner drinks in library. My son loved the armour.

We booked this place for my husband's birthday. Stayed in the Sir Walter Scott room. It was wonderful. Very well appointed. The best part is the library. Sitting there with Dickens, Pickwick Papers in one hand and a single malt scotch in the other. Come on, what can beat that?? Our waiter in the library, think his name was Sandobol,...
