After arranging to visit friends we stumbled across this little gem on the internet. What a find; clean welcoming and very comfortable. We later found out that the owners were quite new and have already got it right, we simply can't wait to go back and spend more time in the area and enjoy the breakfast. Well done!

We were picked up from the path (well, the nearby car park) by Paul and had a warm welcome when we arrived at Newlands by his wife, Andrea. Our room was a good size, well appointed and with plenty of space to spread out our cases and have a sort out. There were sweeties in a bowl in the room...

Warmly welcomed on arrival - the bath was a great asset along the Cleveland Way. Helpful advice where to eat in the village. Provided a lift out to the next stage of the trail - the village is a mile or two off so this was especially welcome.

Andrea made us very welcome and even picked us up from Clay Bank Top, dropping us off again the next day so we could continue our Coast to Coast walk. She gave us tips about where to eat in the evening and cooked a delicious breakfast the next morning. Our room was spacious, very clean and with a huge ensuite...

A lovely hostess who welcomed us very warmly. A large room with a very large ensuite bath and a huge tub. Really nice for us C2C walkers. I would definitely stay here again. The host also drove us the following morning, back up the hill to the C2C path. We were very grateful for that!

She also booked us into the local restaurant for dinner. The Jetminers was superb with great food and friendly atmosphere. We unpacked our luggage in the bathroom which had loads of...

I can thoroughly recommend this b and b if you are doing the Cleveland Way. The owner, Andrea, comes to pick you up when you drop down off the moors and runs you back after breakfast the next morning. She is super friendly and helpful. My friend and I were exhausted on arrival from Osmotherley and Andrea immediately brought us...

Andrea's partner collected us just after 4pm as promised from Clay Bank Top, and also dropped us off the next morning. Our party of 3 enjoyed a cup of tea upon arrival at Newlands House and found the rooms upstairs to be quiet, clean and comfortable. An efficient breakfast was provided and we found this to be a convenient stop...

Tea upon arrival. Hostess friendly. Being on the coast to coast walk the bathtubs were a welcome surprise. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit. We got a ride from Andrea to the starting point of our next day's hike. Dinner at the Jet Miner Restaurant was our best dinner on the coast to coast walk.
