Took my mum here for a short break and she absolutely loved it. The building is beautiful and in very attractive countryside. The main rooms in the house are gorgeous - we sat drinking wine and playing cards until late. Breakfast atmosphere was really excellent with a very good selection of food and very polite and down-to-earth staff.

Booked an overnight stay at Gisborough Hall via Travelzoo. We were lucky enough to take advantage of our deal for Valentine's evening. The deal was afternoon tea in arrival. We did not receive this and we were not offered it either. However we had already decided we did not want it so it didn't matter. Our room was lovely -...

We had a one night break here in January over a weekend. The hotel was especially busy with wedding guests, but this didn't affect the service or atmosphere in the hotel. Guisborough Hall is well located and we found lots of things to do nearby and also many places you could visit within a short car drive too. The hotel...

Had a voucher for the hotel for 1 nights stay and dinner supplement with afternoon cream tea. The place is lovely, very grand. Our room wasn't quite ready so we were shown into the lounge for cream tea. We were made very welcome and the tea was very pleasant. We stayed in an executive room which was very nice. Got...

I wanted somewhere to take my wife for her birthday and my search led me to this hotel. It may be 4 star rated but in my opinion the service provided by the staff is 5 star. I did not reserve any times for our evening meals when I originally booked however we received a call at home to say...

The beautiful building, amazing room and outstanding service from all of the staff, they were all lovely and could not do enough for us. A family member had contacted the hotel and mentioned that we were celebrating so the staff...

Best I have ever stayed in. Saturday 4th Feb for 1 night. As soon as you open your room door you can see the quality. From a little caraf of Sherry to little titbits. It was lovely. Big 4 poster king side bed and it was very comfortable. We decided to have breakfast in bed the next morning for a...

We stayed two nights, on a cheaper winter rate. The hotel is less than a mile from the town centre, and it's an easy flattish walk across fields (get directions at reception). Staff are very helpful and friendly, the decor is unusual but in keeping with an old grand hall, and we saw no signs of wear or lack of...
