I was checked in to the Cross Roads by a lovely lady called Rose who told me it was her first shift. I was very impressed and she was courteous, professional and very helpful. We were able to secure our preferred room with parking right outside. As usual, room was lovely and large, with a huge bed and all the...

The hotel was booked due to its location to Silverstone for the MotoGP. This is the only plus point of the hotel. About a 15 minute drive. We were booked into room 40 which is in an annexe to the main building. At check in the receptionist actually told us that she wouldn't pay to stay in there. Which didn't...

Hotel clean and staff friendly and helpful. Seemed short staffed on Friday as slight wait for food, but not an issue as food was worth the wait, but other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.

Having just found out that this used to be part of the Premier Inn chain I now understand why it’s set out like it is. There are rooms above the main pub/reception area but the majority are set aside approximately 100yds away. First stay my room was above the pub and quite hot and a bit noisy. Well it is...

We stayed for 1 night as we were attending a wedding reception nearby. The hotel used to be part of the Premier Inn group, but is now part of a smaller chain. The décor, carpets, curtains etc. have not been replaced for some considerable time and are showing their age. There is a musty smell in some parts of the...

Why are some people in business? Having been on the road since early morning we decided to call in at 11.35am to order an early lunch. Told, without apology, "The kitchen doesn't open 'till 12." Voted with our feet.

I would love to have written a review of the crossroads but unfortunately we did not get served, so we decided to leave and go to the Heart of England pub instead which turned out to be excellent. Having walked from our canal boat on a hot Saturday lunch time we entered a nearly empty restaurant with no one to...

I came here in June with my boyfriend. We stayed for one night. Hotel was basic layout/decoration. Lovely gent served us at reception, we received times for dinner, breakfast etc. The TV did not work, so we asked politely to move, which infact worked out better as we were put in a more spacious room. The food nextdoor was decent...

We managed to book a room late in the evening, an hour's drive away. We were met with great hospitality and a room that covered all our needs. On the good side: polite, friendly, cheap. The dark side: a parody of an English building in need of the hammer, extremely noisy (there is a huge logistics centre further up the...

The hotel is part of a chain, but has character and local information, it was very clean and tidy, with very helpful attentive staff, food was a bit of a let down but I suspect that as we ate quite late nearly nine o'clock we were at the end of the service and attention to detail was not exactly great,...
