The cottage is well set out with everything you need. Once the heating and wood burning stove were on it soon heated up, the views were stunning and hot tub was was brilliant sitting under the stars while it was -9 outside. Very peaceful and quiet.

We have just returned from a week in Old Steading, the cottage is spacious and well equipped with stunning views and a very private garden with hot tub. The owners, Sue and Phil are very friendly and helpful and we were left a delicious pot of homemade marmalade and cake. We enjoyed local dog walks and had a day in... More

Couldn't resist a return visit to Dalnoid. While there's always a concern that any repeat won't be as good as the first time - we needn't have worried. New Steading cottage was clean, modern, comfortable, beautifully warm and equipped far beyond what you normally expect from a holiday cottage. Once again the welcome was warm and friendly, with the owner... More

Cottages came recommended by family and they lived up to recommendation. We stayed in the Smiddy cottage, 2 bedrooms, and it was a great size for myself, wife and 2 boys. Cottage was extremely well equipped with wood burner, unlimited wood, wifi, dvd, washing machine, dish washer. All the essentials were provided and we didn't need to use much of... More

We spent four nights at the new steading cottage with out two border terriers. On arrival the cottage was laid out beautifully and exceeded our expectations. The garden and views were also gorgeous. One very important point for us was that the garden was well fenced so we could let the dogs roam the garden without worry of them escaping... More

Had 3 nights away in the New Steading and we loved our holiday. Sue was welcoming and left us home baking and marmalade. House was immaculate and very well-equipped with gorgeous toiletries in the bathrooms. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A friend found the cottages on the Internet and suggested we booked one for a last minute skiing trip to Glenshee as it appeared to be very well located. He was not wrong. The cottage is 20 minutes from the ski centre. The cottage was lovely, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. I will definitely be back next winter and... More
