We stayed for a few days a Easter and fortunately picked the good weather. The pub is excellent, very clean and we'll decorated, very cosy. The staff are very helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble (I know it's a cliché, but true). The menu is varied and food is stunning. The room we had was a good...

We are regular visitors to the Dolphin. We had booked a table for 8 for a family lunch. We were squashed into a corner at the back of the bar. Unless I got up to tell barman that we were ready to order/ready to clear we were ignored. I realise that there was building work being completed at main end...

There was a sign outside the pub saying open at 11. There were signs of life inside at just gone the hour. A phone call to the inhabitants revealed they were having a meeting as they expected to be busy. At 11.10 the doors were opened and one of our party of four placed the order with the landlord to...

Please accept my sincere apologies regarding this issue. This was a very busy weekend for us stating from good Friday with our Annual Beach Clean, all volunteers, near enough 200 this year - we bribe them with free food and drink to clean the beach, very successful and worthwhile. On the Sunday we had our free Annual Easter Egg Hunt...

We all had a lovely meal here, plenty of choice and the food was served swiftly. The young team of waiters/waitresses were a real credit to the manager and looked after us well. Just one small issue with your tables. I'm not at all tall, only 5ft2 and I struggled to get my legs under the table as they are...

We are supper here for 6 on the 23rd and 26th March 2017. Highly recommended, excellent food, great service with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is imaginative, with local produce and a healthy twist. The landlord has a fun sense of humour.

We had a girlie weekend away in Thorpeness and went for a meal at The Dolphin on the Saturday night. We loved that dogs were welcome. We booked early as there were 9 of us and the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and efficient and made us feel very welcome. Whilst I would say the menu is slightly limited the...

Lovely pub with helpful staff. Food was locally sourced and was perfectly cooked and served. They also provide accommodation and we would certainly consider staying there, rather than the rather over-hyped Aldeburgh which is around the corner

My wife and I stayed for a night whilst visiting relatives. We were very impressed. The rooms were spacey, comfortable and crammed with interesting knick knacks. A prior engagement sadly prevented us from dining in the restaurant as the menu looked enticing. The Full English was excellent ,majoring on local suppliers. We were made welcome by the friendly staff. We would heartily reccommend...
