We were travelling through the area and needed a place to stay for the night. The price was the biggest factor as we were just looking for somewhere cheap. Found it on the TripAdvisor website and just turned up as it was the cheapest one around. There was no one in when we arrived but there was a helpful sign telling us to call a number. So I did that and explained that we were looking for a bed for the night. He spoke good English and was able to understand me and told me the pass code to get into the hotel which I thought was very trusting! He said he would be there in about 20 mins and that we could go up to one of the rooms and make ourselves comfortable (all despite the fact that no one was there). For the price, the rooms were outstanding and had a brilliant shower which is definitely a bonus when staying in a hotel. When he arrived he said that we could pay when we left and that there would be a discount if we paid with cash (anything to save some money). He was very friendly and chatted to us at breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was pretty basic with packaged croissants and yoghurts mainly but for the price, you can't argue. The coffee machine was pretty good though and gave some really tasty coffee, perfect to start the day. Overall and really nice place to stay, pretty basic but smart at the same time. Awesome value for money and the place had a good atmosphere and would definitely stay there again.…
We stayed here on our way back from a vacation in Italy. The hotel is located at the border of town with nothing noteworthy around. We had to call on our mobile phone to get access to the hotel and room. Everything was clean and the room quite. Wireless connection was good. The hotel has an interesting ambience, maybe a little kitschy. Breakfast was okay for a two star hotel (expect plastic plates and cups, and industrially produced food plus fruits). Staff was friendly and spoke English.
It was a very nice time with pontenuovo Hotel , It's cheap & very good service , internet free , rich breakfast , good location , clean and comfortable , special Thanks to Mr.Corrado .... he is the owner & manager of the Hotel He is helpful & cheerful person ,
Stayed over here for three nights as part of a bike trip and to go to the Monza GP. The owner/manager(?) spoke English well and couldn't have been more helpful, offering us the use of a private garage for the bikes (he did the same for some cyclists.) We were glad we did the outings he recommended in the area (riding around Lake Como and through the mountains to Bellagio.) There was a very good Italian(!) restaurant 15 min walk away. The hotel wasn't too far from Monza and bike parking in the street near the track wasn't a problem. I'm not too sure about cake like thingies for breakfast but there was enough toast, cold meats and yoghurt for Brit tastes. All good.
