I stayed here recently after a recommendation from a colleague. I only needed somewhere for one night whilst in Melbourne on business and because of the grand prix most hotels in the city were booked out. I arrived late and so used the instructions emailed to me to get in. Once in my room I found I'd been given a...

As the title says, the highlight is clearly where Brooklyn is situated. Walking distance to bustling Gertrude street and reasonable walking distance to theatres and restaurants on the East side of Melbourne. Close to public transport as well. In hindsight, I thought the accommodation was hugely overpriced for what it was. I felt like I was doing a sleepover at...

Just returned home from a two night stay at BAH and could not be happier with our choice of accommodation! UTTERLY FABULOUS host made us feel right at home in the most unique hotel I have ever experienced. Great outdoor areas for relaxing and meeting new friends, one of the guests even took it upon himself to play the piano...

This hotel is in a fantastic location, close to shops, cafes and bars. Travelling alone I felt safe as I was able to walk out into busy streets to eat at night. The decor was charming and bed comfortable. Now for the drawbacks....no one around to help with luggage, the bathroom in the hall, the same stale knob of spelt...

Turned up unbooked and luckily had the last room. So nice we stayed 2 days....Massive room with very eclectic decor and furnishings. Breakfast available in big dining room - expect others to join in for great conversation- and big on organics! A must see hotel although parking can be a problem. Ideally situated for walk into Melbourne

So glad we found the delightful charm of the the Brooklyn Arts Hotel, a fabulous old home full of quirky treasures and works of art. Warm and welcoming staff and a superb location nestled in a pretty leafy Fitzroy Street close to everything. Highly recommended. We will definitely be choosing to stay again when next in Melbourne.

Stayed here for a couple of nights following a hectic work related trip in Australia. Perfect spot to relax and recharge the batteries. Fitzroy is a great spot with so many good bars, cafes, boutiques and restaurants but also close to the downtown area. I stayed in the little single studio which leads directly out to a little garden and...

WE had a great weekend staying in Fitzroy visiting relative and friends and exploring new places to eat and sleep! This hotel was great. The welcome was excellent and the facilities were generous and comfortable. We loved the eccentricity of the decor and certainly enjoyed the hospitality. Breakfast was just right and in a comfortable dining room. Just a short...

We stayed here so we could attend a wedding and walk back after the reception. We found it charming and loved our stay : the rooms are quirky and individual , the neighbouring streets have great food and interesting shops This is more of a home than a hotel, for those who dont want a generic hotel experience

Cosy, Comfortable, Clean, Quiet and Quirky. This is not your average "same same" hotel but we loved it. We stayed in the green room with en-suite which was nicely decorated and much more spacious than your average hotel. We also enjoyed the cosy ambience of the breakfast room.
