We spent a week at Cala Blanca. The apartment was newly renovated with new appliances etc and was immaculate with huge balcony. Excellent mini bus shuttle service to Mogan, Puerto Rico or Amadores which ran on time and was free for RCI members. Pool area was lovely. Very clean and not crowded at this time of year. It is very hilly however a 20 minute walk down to the lovely Taurito beach and 3.5 Euro for a taxi back to resort.
This hotel is lovely and I couldn't find fault. The rooms were large and modern and a huge bed in the bedroom. There was a walk in shower and free air conditioning in n the living room and bedroom. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who told us lots of information such as the shuttle bus and the delivery of shopping which they would put away for you if you were out you Just had to text them and let them know. The apartment itself was large with a very large balcony with 2 sun loungers a parasol and a large table with 4 chairs. The views are amazing, especially the sun sets. We were here in march and the pool was heated and the pool area was clean. There were added touches such as washing up liquid and cloths and even a couple of dishwasher tablets. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom which was modern and powerful. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant the first night as er arrived late and the good was very nice. The salad was huge and fresh. Yes it's a walk to the town but you can get a taxi back up the hill if you need too fur a couple of euros. We did use the shuttle bus to mogan one day which was a reasonable 2 euros and saved the walk up the hill. We did get a taxi from mogan one day as we bought shopping and it was about 17 euros. This is due to the road bring blocked by a rockfall and not likely to re open, not the hotels fault. The town itself is small and quiet which is what we wanted. Don't expect to be going out partying all night it's not that type of resort. There are activities for kids in the town and of course the water park. I will definately be returning with other family members. There is a tennis court and gym but we didn't use them so can't comment. All in all a fab holiday and great hotel! …

good hotel with nice view over Taurito.Nice pool area.lot of room in the apartment.Tranportation from hotel to Mogan and Puerto Rico a few times/day.friendly helpful staff.suitable hotel for adults. We were happily surprised with the hotel overall🙂
Cala Blanca excelled in all the usual ways. Excellent reception staff and cleaning superb. Felt a bit harassed into choosing certain dishes and the breakfast experience was very poor and would not bother on future visits. Sorry!
Our first visit to Gran Canaria, and the holiday exceeded our expectations. The Reception staff are excellent. The one bedroom apartment was a perfect size for us. The balcony had stunning views across the bay, and beautiful sunsets could be seen every night - it was spacious with plenty of room for table, chairs and two comfortable sun beds. It should be noted that there are quite a lot of steps around the resort. It is a downhill walk to the beach and Taurito resort centre, where there is also a water park, but of course uphill back again. There is however a convenient bus from the resort to several other local areas. Overall a lovely holiday for some summer sun in early March. We will be back.
Best thing about this hotel is the view, balconys pointing to the sea, you get to watch the sunsets and sunrises, and they are worth the wait. Lots of stares, and access to the beach was difficult, even though it looks like it´s right there. Still, even with the road right under our balcony, it wasn´t very loud or noisy! Taxi way back from the beach is very cheap though, just a little over 3 euros! Minibus from and to the resort to Puerto de Mogan and Puerto Rico is an added bonus, and free for Rci-members, also the sauna and gym is free for Rci-members. Little minimarket at the resort is "little" but you get all the essentials there. Water filters in all the rooms, so you don´t have to buy water bottles, VERY BIG PLUS! Happy hour drinks in the bar from 12-5pm are worth the money! Pool area is what it looks like in the pictures, very nice. We stayed in one bedroom apartment with the bathtub, only minus is the there is no drain in bathroom floor, so it´s wet everytime after you take a shower? Very nice beds and linens. And the balcony is the gem. Only big minus is one particular male waiter in the evening shift in the restaurant. Somehow he made us feel less welcomed, seem to have favorite and less favorite customers, us he straight up ignored sometimes.. a smile and a hello goes a long way. Too bad since all the other workers in all the other areas was up to their tasks. …
Actual review 3.5 Staff & views push it to a 4 star Clean and tidy, room good size, kitchen well equipped, views from balcony amazing, good size pool but was very cold first few days and last day it had been heated! Restaurant very nice food but a bit on the pricey side, however we found that in a few places (perhaps it’s just inflation!) The hotel is quite high up so be prepared to walk up and down the hill to the town below. A car is ideal to get around, otherwise bus or taxi. Overall we had a lovely stay and can’t fault the service we received.
I love this place. I came with a family member for a break away from some very stressful situations and to catch some winter sun. We felt immediately welcome and the atmosphere was relaxing. All the staff from reception, bar/restaurant/pool area and cleaners were friendly and helpful. The view from our balcony was beautiful. We were at the top of the property which is tiered going up the hill. Due to the terrain and how the roads work, the top is also the reception level and is close to the pool and restaurant and bar so this was convenient for us. There are lifts for the lower floors. The apartment was extremely clean and very well equipped. The bed was enormous, as was the sofa bed and both were really comfortable. There is a decent sized TV in the bedroom as well as one in the lounge, which worked well for us as we could watch different programmes before retiring for the night. The hotel mini bus service to Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogan was very useful and good value for money. The woman driving it when we visited was always prompt and very welcoming. You can get the public bus but have to climb back up the hill when you get back and it takes longer (and you can't go direct to Puerto de Mogan). You can walk over the hill to Puerto de Mogan but you need decent footwear, a reasonable standard of fitness and to be confident walking on uneven terrain. Guests with mobility issues may find the walk to and from the centre of Taurito too much as the hill is quite steep. If you are able bodied and reasonably fit then it's fine. The pool is fantastic but there isn't really a shallow end so not ideal for young children or if you are not confident in the water. We loved it and at the time of our visit it was never too busy. There were also plenty of sun loungers available too. Although Taurito is a purpose built tourist area we found it attractive and definitely intend to return to Cala Blanca…
Did stay in this hotel with family of 6 persons Room was very nice, as well were the staff Parking might be complicated especially if you have disabilities or small kids Pool temperature was a bit cold for our taste
