I hate to have to do this because I am still at this hotel. Up till today, we have had an enjoyable stay. The rooms, food, dining room staff, reception staff & the majority of the bar staff are great but... Over the past couple of days, a short haired female staff member who wears a 'la bamba discoteque' shirt, has been working in the hotel bar. From about 10pm, she starts putting things away, bringing chairs in from outside, dimming the lights at about 10.30 & generally making the guests feel unwelcome. This is clearly so she can get finished early. This evening, my daughter had been to the coffee machine at 10.20 to get my wife a coffee. She went back to get herself a hot chocolate & this staff member had turned the machine off & started stripping it down. We thought she might be cleaning it so we waited but she walked away. I asked her if we could have a hot drink & she said my daughter would have to walk out of the hotel - up to the entertainment complex - to get it. I went to the reception to ask why she had done this when clearly, we should be able to get access to this till 11pm. He asked her & she told him the machine was broken... A blatant lie. I don't think there is a duty manager on duty - which is why she thinks that this is acceptable behaviour. I hope the management read this & address this problem as soon as possible.

Please please stay away from this hotel, I stayed at the hotel with my wife, daughter son in law 3 grand kids, On Sunday the 20th November we went to the restaurant for dinner My grand daughter aged 10, said she had a beast in here dinner, In fact it was a cockroach which had been cooked, As a result we shouted on one of the waiters which came over and took the plate away, So we all got up and left, We headed down to the reception and asked to see the hotel manager, Which the male receptionist said he will call the manager so we 7 of us all sat and waited Myself, my wife, my daughter, my son in law, grand daughter age 10, gran daughter age 6 Grand son age 1 year. We also contacted jet 2 who said they would send some one out also, We sat for 3 hours waiting at reception but none of them arrived, So there was no way I was going to eat in that restaurant ever again, We only had 10 euros left on us, so I went to the shop and managed to get crisps to eat For our dinner. Luckily enough we were coming home on the 21st Both the hotel and jet 2 will let you eat cockroaches with your dinner All both have done is fobbed us off. We paid thousands of pounds for a service we only partly received I will urgh people please do not go to this hotel

Ok so this is our 3rd visit to Taurito, the first just before Covid in the Lago Taurito Hotel, the second in the Valle Hotel in August 2022 and the 3rd back in the Lago November 2022. The first thing you need to know is that on the 25th September Taurito was hit by a Hugh Tropical Cyclone which has caused alot of damage to the area, we were surprised of just how much damage has been done to the beach, the landslides from the mountains have blocked the main road to Mogan and the buses refuse to do a direct trip to Taurito so you do end up waiting a while for buses unfortunately things like this cannot be predicted. Hotel Lago - the rooms are very dated they are in need of a good refurb, I know they get alot of hammer but the noise from others in the rooms does make it impossible to sleep, you can hear people using the bathroom for showers and the 3 SSS. The rooms are kept clean and to a decent standard and the staff are really nice. The food isn't great at all, you are suppose to be given a shift rota for food times for covid reasons but no one sticks to it, the food is bland, cold and unfortunately does have a few flies on them, I know its a warm country but we never had this problem a few years ago and in August in the height of summer with the doors wide open but obviously alot has changed since then. The menu isn't great and they do try cater for every nationality but it seems they get the cheapest brand of food and you can tell. The waterpark is fine, your guaranted sunshine all day, the water is salt water but they do have showers. There is alot of tiles missing from the pool area in the waterpark, again happened with the storm as it wasn't like that 10 weeks previously. Hotel Valle - The rooms are modern and kept clean on a daily basis, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The food and quality of the food was amazing, I am a really fussy eater and everyday I always found something. The pool area on an evening served nice drinks and played fantastic music to accommodate everyone. In my opinion I would choose Valle over Lago, the only reason we came back to Lago is because there were no room in the Valle as it was a quick 10 week turn around. I do love Taurito but you can see the impact that the storms are having and obviously with no business with Covid for 2 years it is showing its cracks and it needs some money spending on it. The beach has literally halfed in size and carved out a 6 foot drop into the sea, the walls that have come down still litter the beach and all the Crabs that enhabited the area in the Summer unfortunately lay 15 foot in the air on rocks dead

Stayed with the family, but if you have smaller kids and want them to sleep at night, stay clear, not only of this hotel, but all the hotels in Taurito valley. The evening "entertainment show" was cranked up to 11 and lasted 20.00-22.00. It was literally impossible not to listen to it, due to the massive sound level. I'd rather listen to drunk Englishmen than to "baby shark du-du-du" every night of the week. Apart from that, amazing beach with tons of fun.

If your planning a trip here Please don’t read into all the bad reviews, everyone has a different experience and a different opinion. We have just come home from a week here with friends And I must say I was expecting the worst after reading the reviews on here. From the minute we arrived we realised that the reviews from some people were wrong. The hotel is absolutely spotless. The cleaners work hard and are very polite. Infact all the staff at the hotel were brilliant. The rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy. The surrounding area it is situated in is beautiful. The beach and the little bars down at the beach we good too. The water park was good fun, with a good few slides. The beer was good and spirits were too! Food was also good with plenty of variety to meet all requirements and eating habits. Only down side was the evening entertainment/ lake of entertainment! This needs work on!!. There are a lot of flies in the resort (not just hotel but at the beach and surrounding area) which isn’t to do with the hotel but the flies are not any different to any other place in the canaries and are manageable. We stayed in room 228 which looking directly over the sun terrace. This is absolutely perfect for a family get away or couples looking for a brake to relax in the sun. I would suggest to anyone going to take a trip to port de Morgan for the day, they call it little Italy, and it’s beautiful there. If I was to rate it out of 10 it would be a solid 8. Go with an open mind and I’ll guarantee you’ll be surprised and you will have a great time, as we did!! We are planning on returning as a family very soon

We had a great time here with my partner and his 2 children (16 and 10) the room was large and spacious, maybe could do with an upgrade but always very clean. We enjoyed the water park and we paid extra for all inclusive there. Maybe didn’t need it but it saved going back and forwards for drinks etc at the hotel. The water park could do with some upgrading and the paved area is a bit sore to walk on barefoot but there was plenty sun beds and lots of room for floats etc in the pool. The food at the hotel was decent too, your typical all inclusive does get repetitive but we always found something we liked. Drinks were good and the animation staff kept everyone entertained at night time. All in all we had a very good holiday. People need to take into account when leaving reviews for hotels etc that this is a 3 star hotel and that’s what you are paying for.

Just awful. At first arrival it does t look to bad nice reception area ect Rooms air con was leaking and letting flies in through the ceiling but they kept insisting there was nothing wrong Breakfast is the best meal of the day as you can’t really get eggs wrong. Lunch and dinner was awful no selection and practically the same every day. Be ready to fight flies away as you try to eat. The hotel has made no attempt to get rid of them. The entertainment was joined between all hotels around the area and not inside the hotel. Only room for around 150 people so you have to get there really early if you want a seat. The arcade isn’t a arcade and all it has is air hockey tables We started to eat out at the two beach bars after day to because the hotel food was really bad! Water park was really good but it will Sting a little and all pools are salt water. Overall I really disappointing week

Awful place, uncomfortable, clean, but cleaner rude. Bathroom nightmare kept flooding. Had to pay for a kettle, & a safe. Food vile, cold and full of flies, sangria was like vinegar, no show cooking! Beds rock hard and couldn’t even pick up the pillow. Water park needs shutting down to be refurbished, very tired, and not clean, my granddaughter cut her foot every day, from tiles missing in the pool, tiles in pool falling off the walls, some rides closed. Only 2 blow up rings for 1 ride, so could hardly use the ride. No entertainment in the hotel bar, children’s entertainment a joke, nothing apart from water park open during the day, and not allowed in water park on last day, made it a long day until 6.30pm pickup. I have never spent so much money on food on an all inclusive holiday. This by the way wasn’t a cheap holiday. See uploaded pics below.

Our last day here today and we have had a great time! We stayed on in rooms 603/604 and they were perfect for us, 2 adults one child in each. The balcony’s are huge! The rooms are cleaned everyday except Sunday. The lifts are hit and miss and this end of the hotel, we could never get the lift to come to floor 6 so we would walk down to 5 and it would come there. Alternatively we walked to the other end of the hotel and lifts always worked there. Forget sitting round the pool, the beds are always gone but to be fair I never wanted to sit round it anyway. We always managed to get a bed either further down near the ping pong tables or behind the pool bar just up the steps. The food, well there is always something. The pool bar snacks were the same every day and I never ate anything from there as hot dogs and burgers aren’t my thing but the kids were happy eating them. There are 3 sittings for breakfast dinner and tea. We were told we were sitting 2 and payed absolutely no attention to it and went when ever we fancied within the 3 sittings and no one bothered. There has been something on every night we’ve been here entertainment wise, we haven’t watched much of it as we’ve just been so tired. There is limited seating around the evening entertainment area so you need to get there early. There is also the flamingo bar which is just at the entrance to the hotel and very quiet. There is mini golf, football an arcade with lots to do. Kids were kept busy for a good hour or so off 5 euros! There are several shops outside the hotel and a few restaurants by the beach. The water park has kept the kids happy all week. It’s salt water though so your going to need googles! The hotel is kept clean, there is always cleaners about and all seem really friendly. The hotel is just tired looking. We got a taxi to Anfi beach which is beautiful cost us 16 euros each way. We also booked the catamaran just outside the hotel. Everyone is really helpful here. Just wish it was within walking distance to a town or something as you really are limited to what you can do here unless you are prepared to pay for a taxi to go places.

Stayed for a week, 20th - 27th Myself, 14 year old and 10 year old Location : close to the beach, not too far for the coach transfer, enough little shops on site, lovely views Room: needs updating but big and clean. Beds comfy enough. Shower was a decent power and we never run out of hot water. Balcony was big Food: average 3 star all inclusive. Nothing special. Nothing awful Drinks: soft drinks and coffee were self service. Big measures of spirits but very weak. Def can't get tipsy!! Pool: not huge but the water park is opposite so it wasn't overly packed. We got loungers every day but we were out there quite early. Entertainment: lacking. Barely anything during the day. Evening was kids disco followed by a quiz or "magic" show etc. Could do with improving Biggest peeve was the flies. Don't know why but they were constant. Really annoying We had a nice relaxed week but we won't return. We've experienced better 3* all inclusive
