The hotel itself and staff was super clean and staff were friendly. The breakfast was above our expectations. The hotel room was always clean and bed was made. However on our last day we went to the aqua park near Palma. Upon returning my engagement ring had been stolen out of our room. The only person to have entered our room that day was the cleaner (confirmed by hotel staff). The door was always double locked even after the cleaner had been in throughout the week. However upon returning that day the door was only on a single lock. Although the reception staff have been super helpful and understanding. You shouldn’t have to go on holiday and have your engagement ring stolen.

We stayed 6 days while our son was attending the Nadal Academy summer camp and for us, it was an exploration trip at different levels for future potentials. The staff was lovely and very helpful at different levels, the room and the hotel was spotless, the breakfast buffet yummy, maybe a part from the scrambled eggs. Car park nearby and with a tiny additional cost, protected from the mail road. Supermarket, doctor and lovely restaurants nearby. The closest beach is reachable by car and walking. Highly recommended

Such a lovely hotel, very quiet surroundings with very little going on which is perfect if you want a quiet break. Staff so happy to help and the bar staff make brilliant cocktails. The swimming pools were gorgeous and very quiet - no fighting for sun beds as there are plenty at any time of the day. Close to the gorgeous beach and just an all round wonderful hidden Gem The few restaurants that are around the area serve good priced and tasty food and are very welcoming

Thank you Hotel Cala Murada, this was a great stay and a lovely chilled week of sun and time by the pool. I found this on loveholidays.com at a reasonably low price and was tempted by the price and the pool. It didn’t disappoint - it’s a 50min journey by private transfer from Palma and the hotel had everything we needed, I was with my 9yo son and the breakfast went down well with him ( fruits, pastries, cereals meats cheeses etc). There are two pools and the family one was really nice - there is also an adult only one we couldn’t go to but looked great if you don’t have kids with you. The staff were really friendly throughout - the bar staff were superstars at their jobs and on it, very friendly and the guy and girl working each day brilliant! Lovely garden bar. Sounds of cicadas throughout the day and the occasional plane overhead leaving the island as you sip a cerveza pequena or cocktail. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and I think it would suit anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy packaged holiday style one. The location is off the beaten track, a little out of the way and there is a beach about a ten minute walk away but I personally wasn’t a fan of this one as there are better ones elsewhere. I would recommend having a hire car or using a taxi to get to some of the other beaches (Cala Dor beach at Cala Gran is stunning and was €25 one way but worth the trip for the day!). There are buses too but I didn’t use them and I think they are infrequent. Cala Domingos has two beaches and the larger one I went to had nice waves gorgeous sea but not so clean on the sand. I hear the other one is lovely - a smaller one at Cala Domingo’s I didn’t go To sadly. There is a supermarket across the hotel at murada which is useful for water and snacks etc. a couple of restaurants but otherwise quite sleepy outside the hotel - if you’re looking for a big package experience with shops, multiple bars and the like then Alcudia and Cala dor may suit you better. If you’re looking for an escape on a budget and for me as a single parent entertaining a son who is a creature of habits then you may find a nice surprise at Cala murada as it’s geared for manana chilling and an escape from crowds. The bar have ice creams and did burgers and nuggets (for kids) but also meals like octopus. If you arrive late they did offer these toasted sandwiches as a small snack which my son then had every day all week. The comments on here about not geared for English did make me chuckle and was another reason for me coming here. I speak a little Spanish and I think it’s polite just to make the effort to try and speak the local language as it goes a long way - also to have an open mind and mix it up as I remember once I went on holiday and bumped into my nest door neighbour as the hotel was full of English only. This is popular with French and German - some lovely people here and I said hello to familiar faces through the week - a mix of young families single parents young groups having fun - it was a real mix. There are menus in English maybe that’s a recent thing but I can’t fault the staff they make the effort to help. The photos on the website sometimes look better than reality - I think the photos o saw didn’t do this place justice it was better than expected. So in summary - lovely holiday would suit many but not all as everyone has a different expectation of a holiday. I would recommend doing your research to see what is around especially if you rely on a package company and bear in mind you can’t walk to Cala Domingos beach as close as it looks on Google maps…. but as a holiday this didn’t disappoint and I’m now at home in Worcestershire, England with rain outside missing the palm tree lined swimming pool thinking of booking another flight.

Our vacation in the Hotel Cala Murada was perfect. In this hotel you get more than you pay for. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming (they also gave us tips on what places are worth seeing during our stay- that are not so touristy). The breakfast buffet is quite rich in variety of food, however it is the same every day, which is normal even in 5* hotels, therefore it did not seem like an issue for us. Our room was just like the pictures and was cleaned daily, plus the towels were changed every two days. Also the cleaning lady was incredibly kind. The location of the hotel was also a big plus for us. The hotel is located in the heart of Cala Murada with restaurants and a grocery shop right next to the hotel. It is also just a short walk away from Cala Murada beach and Petit Cala Domingos (smaller and nicer beach next to the well known Cala Domingos), if you feel like it you can also reach other beaches on foot approximately in 30 minutes (and as bonus you get breathtaking views from the cliff path). The bus stop is located right next to the hotel, so there is no issue getting around the island. Cala Murada as such is quieter place which is great if you want to rest. However, there is plenty of night life and loud restaurants in nearby tourist centre of Calles de Mallorca. Overall we had an amazing time and we do recommend this hotel.

...a great place if you want to get the feeling how it was back in "the good old days" before mass tourism. Once kind of a "Grand Hotel" on the east coast of Majorca this family run place has kept its original charme of those days. A beautiful lush garden with a quiet adult pool, well maintained building and upgraded rooms inside, really make the Hotel Cala Murada an oasis away from hectic mainstream travelling. Even in the middle of August you can quietly sip a relaxed cocktail from the garden bar. It opens in the afternoon and offers you great drinks at more than reasonable prices till late. A great asset to the overall experience is the team of the hotel! Everybody I encountered scores with friendliness and kindness. A special "Thank You" Misha for being such a great recepcionista! I have stayed here twice within the last 4 weeks and will definitely return at the next ocassion.

Stayed on the second week of June 2022. Positive aspects: nice pool, nice localization very close to cala murada beach which is very beautiful. Negatives: - Staff is mostly unfriendly, especially the ladies in the front desk. Only exceptions to the lady in the bar and the cleaning maid. No one really makes an effort to speak english either. - Rooms are very poorly decorated, with only the beds, a desk and not even a chair to sit. Wardrobes looked dirty and lacked space. Bathrooms looked dirty too. The facilities themselves are very old and they've done a poor job renovating them (the only place that looks renovated is the lobby). - Sound isolation is very bad, you can hear the neighbours on the other rooms and what sounded like water running on the plumbing system for the entire night. - Breakfast has very little variety and not many options to choose from. Mostly cheap ingredients and food items. - Parking is 15 euros (FIFTEEN!!!!!!) per day!! They offer an alternative option which is 5 euros per day, but they don't guarantee a spot for the car. Overall, it's an extremely overpriced hotel for the quality that is offered. If you have a chance to stay somewhere else, do it.

When we arrived we were given an upgrade to an apartment which was really big and very nice, it also had it's own pool and sun loungers for our use, it was just a two minute walk to the main hotel which we used for our meals, they had a really nice restaurant and the meals were very good with lots of choice. the beach was a small walk, about ten minutes away and it was really nice and very sheltered and not crowded at all it also had lots of sun loungers and parasols, it also had a very nice restaurant and bar on the beach, the staff were really good and the food was amazing and they aslo had entertainment on in the evening,we thorughly enjoyed our stay there

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Mini Golf Apartments, still under the hotel property, because we wanted more privacy, and the possibility to cook our lunch and dinner. The price is fair for what you get, and we were really satisfied with our choice. There's a swimming pool right in front of the flats with sunbeds, and also a mini golf course is just meters away, as well as a basketball playground, a tennis court, and a kids play area. The apartments are decently furnished, and there's everything you need for your holiday. Clean bathroom, huge wardrobe, satellite tv, A/C, kitchenette (maybe a bit poor of cooking tools) with fridge, stove top, microwave, toaster, electric squeezer, and much more. The beds were decently comfortable. The whole little flat was cleaned on daily basis, as well as the beds were made, and the towels were changed. There's also a small patio/balcony where you can eat al fresco, or sip a drink while smoking a cigarette. Quiet area, well located, with a supermarket nearby, restaurants, bars, 3-4 beaches. Despite of what other reviews might say, the staff speaks a very good English, specially at the reception.
