I LOVED staying at this charming, rustic B&B. The location, hosts, accommodation and ambience are superlative. It was a totally idyllic experience and we felt totally at home. We booked the Baron Perche suite for 4 nights and used Balcon et Foret as a base for exploring the Dordogne. The location is ideal, a 5-30 minute drive from all the...

This was our second stay at this wonderfully idyllic place. This time we stayed in the Baron Perché suite as the St Hubertus suite was booked this time. We were not disappointed, such an elegant and welcoming suite with lovely throughout. The furnishings are delightfully charming (even distinguished I would say). The bathroom is lovely, restful and exceptionally laid out....

We arrived in Beynac in the late afternoon and found our B&B.....words cannot express how completely gorgeous this area of France is. I am pretty sure we ooh’ed and ahh’ed every minute at the beautiful landscape for the remainder of our trip. After meeting our hosts who showed us our suite and set up an aperitif on the patio, they...

The owners of Balcon en Foret, Sandra and Baudoin, are an inspirational couple having left the hustle and bustle of corporate living to pursue a more rewarding lifestyle in one of the most stunning places I have had the pleasure of visiting. They are passionate about what they do, and take great pride in creating a wonderful experience for their...

I have so many good things to say about our experience at Balcon en Foret but I'll try to be brief. Location - it is secluded in the woodlands, yet close to the town of Beynac. You can even take a foot path. It is also a central location to explore the many attractions in the area. The hosts- Sandra...

My husband and I just returned from our 2 week trip to France. Our stay at the Balcon et Foret and the Dordogne region was the best part of the trip; for this B&B, for the scenery, for the diversity of things to do and see. Sandra and Baudoin were the most helpful owners for their suggestions, directions, and also...

This gorgeous B&B in a calm and peaceful country setting is just a 5 minute walk away from the beautiful village of Beynac. Our room 'Baron Le Perché' , in a tastefully renovated old farmhouse, was a generous size, very comfortable and had the added luxury of an open fire. The hosts, Sandra and Baudouin, were delightful and a source...

What a wonderful surprise. Large accommodation with beautiful country french decor. Separate from main house. Organic, homemade breakfasts served by pleasant hosts that allowed you to relax, explore the local area and enjoy your privacy. Local wines available to enjoy outside in the afternoon. Hosts are a pleasure to chat with. Unique 5 minute trail walk to medieval village of...

Just outside of Beynac in the Dordogne region of France, this lovely B&B is quite amazing. Lovely country setting, just outside the very touristy town. The hosts, Sandra and Baudouin, were both wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and very pleasant. Perfect B&B hosts. It is only about a 5 minute walk into Beynac through the woods. The place was renovated to keep...

We are another couple feeling guilty for not adding a review ealier. We stayed with Sandra and Badouin in May 2012 and wish to add our thanks and appreciation for the relaxing time we spent at Balcon en Foret. We regret we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the wonderful breakfasts and their sparkling, easy company. From our very first email,...
