We stopped at this maison d'hôtes for a night on our way back to Barcelona, and we were surprised by the kindness and excellent treatment dispensed by our hosts.

To start with, we were given an extra room to feet better, with no extra expenses at all. Both rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and a completely equipped bathroom.

Our hosts also granted us with a wellcome drink, which turned out almost a complete dinner!

The next morning we could taste a delicious breakfast with crêpes and homemade marmalades. Just perfect to get ready to hit back the road!

My fiancé and I were visiting the region to look at wedding venues. We found this hotel last minute and quite late in the day. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and our room was great, clean and ready and waiting. We were met with a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!

We stayed for one night in June during a 6 night road trip, so this review is relatively objective.

Easily found using the Google map from TA/Booking.com, but not so easy with a GPS which took us to the next street !

Excellent, secure car park with plenty of space.

It felt as if this was a new venture for the owners, who were welcoming, pleasant and spoke very passable English. We arrived early for a local lunch with friends, but were welcomed, which is not always the case in France, and shown our rooms.

The garden is obviously on the to do list, but didn't bother us as the purpose our stay was simply a good bed for the night. The house has recently been made over in a very modern/white style rather than a rustic French style.

The bedroom was large, clean and bright complete with a lighting system option that could quite easily have doubled as a youngsters disco if you had a mind to switch to this option. Given the size of the room we were rather disappointed with the size of the bed, which was a double, but no more. For us it wasn't particularly comfortable. Our room faced out over the village/main road, so was somewhat noisy in the morning. Best to ask for a room on the garden side of the property.

The bathroom was again bright, a modern and functional fit out with good shower water pressure.

The breakfast room was large, bright and well equipped. Breakfast itself was to a decent standard without being exceptional. Not sure if dinner is offered, if not there's a very good Les Routieres restaurant just across the road or a more upmarket establishment just around the corner in the old mill building across the street from the river.

Excellent value for money.

I feel very guilty about writing this review, as it has been over five weeks since we stayed there. We stayed at the Moulin as the last night before we moved into our French holiday home nearby. We have been so busy, only now can I write and describe our visit to this most marvellous place. The room was excellent. Clean, modern, airy and with a very comfortable bed. An excellent modern bathroom complemented it. Well, you can get these sort of things in most places (but not everywhere!) What you cannot get however is the very friendly, and helpful welcome from Christophe and his wife, and you cannot always get the enormous and beautifully cooked and presented breakfast that we had in the lovely modern kitchen diner. At the time of our visit they were not able to offer evening meals, but will certainly be able to by the time you read this. When we return to our holiday home, we will be making a booking to eat there, as the food will be very good, I am sure, and we look forward to meeting our hosts yet again.

Arriving from Bordeaux after a long train journey the day before, at night, lasting sixteen hours including several connections, I was exhausted and my GPS did not indicate the exact location. So I called Mr. Christophe to ask him for a point of reference and he completely sent me away without patience or understanding after hanging up on me and impolitely telling me to manage, at 7:30 p.m., at night, on a Sunday, In the middle of the countryside.
Furthermore, even though I had booked 2 days before, he pointed me to the Amis restaurant for dinner, which was closed in the evening! Great welcome, thank you for this concern.
To escape, change jobs or calm your ardor with chamomile!
