My boyfriend and I spent 9 nights here in May-June 2019 and our stay was wonderful and one of the very best B&Bs we have ever stayed at in our 17 years of traveling. Nicholas is a wonderful host and the accommodations are spacious and lovely and the location is a great one for exploring the Carnac Stone Alignments and other lovely sites in the area. We thank Nicholas for his lovely hospitality and Bretagne breakfasts and comfortable and welcoming accommodations.
My wife and I spent two nights here at the end of August and this turned out to be the best accommodation of our 10 days touring Brittany. Nicholas is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. All the breakfast choices either come from nearby or with the jams and preserves made from the properties fruit or berries...yum. The room we were in ( Merlin ) had an ensuite bathroom with good shower pressure and the bedroom itself was very large and had a king sized bed. It's bliss in the evening when you get into bed and hear absolutely nothing.
We are two adults and two children and spent 3 nights in Kerimel. We had an amazing family room, really large, bright , comfortable, spacious and immaculately clean. Breakfast is such a treat with homemade yoghurt, delicious pastries and an amazing variety of homemade jams from fruit which Nicolas grows himself. Do not miss crepe night - he has a wonderful atmospheric little 'restaurant' and we all loved the food. A lovely garden for the children to play in and its a great location to get to lots of great beaches and attractions. Nicolas was a lovely host and we would definitely visit again.
We spent 3 nights here last week. We were welcomed by our host Nicholas and shown to our delightful room. It was very well appointed with a large comfortable bed, walk in wardrobe and good bathroom. It was spotlessly clean and well decorated. It also provided a kettle and hair dryer. As well as the indoor access to the room there was a pretty exterior stone staircase. The public areas were very tastefully decorated and there were facilities to wash up our own items and a fridge too. On the first night we took advantage of the creperie and joined other guests for Nicholas' delicious galettes and crepes cooked to order. Breakfast was typically French with fresh bread croissants and home made cake along with home made yoghurt and preserves. The area surrounding Kerimel is full of little beaches, ports and picturesque villages. The larger resorts of Carnac and Trinité sur mer were a little busy for us ( August holidays) but so beautiful with plenty of good restaurants. A little further afield are the peninsulas of Quiberon and Arzon that are truly spectacular. We felt very welcome and Nicholas was the perfect host. We certainly recommend this B and B to the more discerning guest. …
Lovely couple of night, family of four with dog in large room. Great host, recommendations on where to go and superb breakfasts. Access to fridge & kitchen utensils make it simple to prepare picnics for the beach.
Nicolas's home was superb in all the ways that I love: it was REAL, with rich history, honest taste, and the kindest of hosts. I loved the homemade jams, yogurt, and bread, the beautiful sounds of birds and fresh breeze, the smells of the roses, the old house renovated lovingly. It's near lots of attractions, and there are books and magazines to tell you all about the history of the area. We loved the homebrewed beer we came home with, and we had a great conversation about the Breton language, which the proprietors support. I travel a lot, and I haven't stayed in many places I liked as much as this one.
Wonderful location, warm and welcome lodgings, comfortable and homely atmosphere. Easy drive to local attractions. This was a wonderful base for a few days touring the Breton countryside, including the megaliths. Carnac and Locmariaquer aren't far. Outstanding food. Sur la table is a must. Breton gallettes and crepes with great variety of fillings. Food locally sourced and much produced on site. English spoken and maps and guidebooks in English can be borrowed if you need them. Nicolas is great; very laid back and easy to get along with. You can see why people rate this establishment so highly. He cares and it shows.
We had a lovely four day/three night weekend in the Morbihan and were thrilled to have discovered Nicolas's charming B&B. Nicolas was a warm host who served copious breakfasts featuring delicious pastries and breads from his friend's boulangerie, along with homemade jams and yoghurt. Our "all you can eat" crepe meal on Friday night was also a treat. As we were in the area to visit Neolithic sites, Nicolas also helped point us in the direction of menhirs and alignments that were off the beaten path. A great trip, and we are only sad that we are not likely to visit any time in the very near future! N.B. We were on the trip to get away from screens and relentless email/contacts, so not having WiFi in our room was a plus rather than a detractor. We also don't own our own television, so while there was one in the room, we did not use it -- and would recommend you don't, either!…
Kerimel is in a beautiful rural setting just outside Ploemel and Nicolas and Pascale couldn’t be more welcoming. The room we stayed in was large, light and bright. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and yoghurt. We also had use of the kitchen and laundry so you could cater for yourself if you wanted to. Nicolas was very helpful with recommendations of where to visit and which restaurants to go to. We had a wonderful week here and would highly recommend Kerimel as a quiet and relaxing base from which to explore Brittany.
We had a very special time at Nicholas and Pascale's place. Its a beautiful and historic house with flowers growing up the walls and in the charming garden. We ate and slept extremely well - a lot of the food is local and organic or from their garden. We had two delicious meals cooked for us as well as the fabulous breakfasts. Nicholas and Pascale went out of their way for us, nothing was too much trouble and they were particularly lovely to my son, who had a brilliant time as a result. We went swimming and menhir hunting and visited a little island and all in all it was a very lovely break.
