We were looking for an alternative staging-post between our home in Nice and Calais to the excellent Hotel Henry 2 (qv) in Beaune, and came to Le Clos for two nights with a friend. The hotel is a tasteful conversion of an old farm, set in very peaceful and attractive grounds. At the time of booking, we expressed a preference for...

A well run family hotel in a lovely setting and private parking. A perfect choice after the noise of the historical.center of Beaune. The rooms are charming but I would suggest ground floor rooms for clients who have trouble with stairs.

We stopped here on our way home from Provence with a baby and two small kids. The family area (2 adjoining rooms) was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is a gorgeous restored farmhouse and the gardens are great to run around in a get some air. The breakfast was very good. Just a shame for coffee lovers that the...

A family-run hotel with large comfortable rooms, if a little old-fashioned. The building has several historical artefacts in the courtyard and the old timber doors of the barn have been preserved. The breakfast is excellent, served in a charming and well-kept garden, and together with the restaurant next door - Le Berger du Temps - this was a very pleasant...

Stayed here for 4 nights. It is lovely and centrally located for touring Burgundy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely with a loft bedroom. I would suggest a mini-fridge in the room for drinks and fresh fruit etc... They ask that you not eat or drink anything in the garden / lawn areas not purchased...

We stayed on our way back from the South of France and it was a good hotel. Emelie on reception was excellent and so helpful booking restaurants and a wine tour. Great location for the motorway and Beaune plus all the lovely vineyards. Rooms fine for a short stay.

Pros: - well priced, beautiful gardens - quiet location close to town - great authentic French restaurant next door. Cons: - Room was a little dated and had a very bad damp smell. Need to run the air-con nonstop to mask it. Overall: A decent place to rest your head if you are transiting through Beaume or for a short...

Having driven through and around France many times often stopping in soulless chain hotels en route, we are always pleased to find reasonably priced private hotels to stopover in. Beaune is a pretty town but the hotels are quite expensive. Le Clos is even closer to the motorway exit in a small, sleepy village called Montagny les Beaune 7 minutes...

We were delighted with our overnight stay at this most charming small hotel. A characterful hotel, located in a small village close to the town of Beaune. The hotel is located within converted old stone buildings. The conversion must have taken considerable thought, time and effort, as the result is excellent. The rooms are most comfortable and well appointed, breakfast was also of an excellent standard. The gardens are well kept and parking...
