It is clear this was once a grand thermal hotel, it is dated but charming. The hotel is divided into the renovated wing and the old wing - I stayed in the old wing for an economic thermal break. The room was as depicted - very basic, no extras but exactly what was needed. The staff where friendly, helpful and...

Immediately impressed with the elaborate entrance and nice grounds BUT as soon as you get into your standard room (€170 for 2 nights) it is one of the worse places I've ever seen. Hasn't seen a lick of paint for about 30 years and the furniture was antique....this is not meant in a posh way I mean it looks like...

travelling to spain for the holidays, I was looking for a nice stopover not too far from the highway between the french border and barcelona. This hotel is put in Gerona in search engines but is in fact 20min south in Caldes de Malavella, a thermal bath town. The building is really nice but only half renovated, and you need...

We drove into the nice arched driveway and spotted the big but rather crowded pool. Having just left beautiful Cadaques I had booked this hotel as a treat for the kids on the way back to Barcelona. How wrong was I - this place is more for the retired single or couple people. If you are into senior aqua aerobics...

If you book a standard room in this hotel, don't expect it to be anywhere near the pictures of any rooms on their website! They conveniently leave out a photo of their standard rooms. You will be so disappointed! We arrived to this hotel with it's grand entrance and outdoor heated pool to be greeted by rude staff who were...

I booked a couple of nights away at the Balneari Prats. It's a beautiful hotel with a spa on site and a wonderfully warm, outside, thermal pool. I originally booked a standard room which, to be honest, was really quite unpleasant - dated, dark and very unappealing - but was able to get upgraded to a superior room for an...

We stayed in the newest part of the Hotel just upgraded a few years ago...

We were blown away by the outdoor pool which is heated by underground springs. The temperature is glorious, and that even on a warm day !! If you stay here get a room in the newer renovated wing--the rooms are more up to date and more comfortable (we were allocated the older wing, but asked to swap---this was not a...

We stayed here for one night prior to catching an early morning flight the next day. We booked through the hotel website and found a great deal. The hotel is very relaxing from the minute you step into its gardens. The outdoor thermal pool is a treat, which was the main reason for us choosing this hotel; the water is...
