Nestled in lush tropical greenery and overlooking the Andaman Sea, Centara Villas Phuket is a romantic hideaway located steps away from Karon Beach. Each private villa, nestled within its own screen of green, directly faces the sea from a dramatic inclined perch, ensuring that views are endless. The villas (min 46 sqm.) offer the option of a plunge pool or a Jacuzzi. The large two-tiered pool, with its fabulous ocean views and shady spots, is the epicentre of relaxation. For another form of relaxation, Spa Cenvaree is a refuge for the senses offering a choice of therapeutic treatments including traditional Ayurvedic methods and Thai massages. The resort also offers hands-on Thai cooking classes, and two restaurants and a bar that boast sublime ocean views. The tour desk can arrange activities such as island-hopping and family treks. A scheduled shuttle service connects the resort with the fabled nightspots of Patong and Karon. The resort is just one hour's drive away from the airport

Centara Villas Phuket is celebrated for its serene and scenic setting, providing guests with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere, although its remote hillside location may pose accessibility concerns. While the cleanliness and unique charm of the hotel receive high marks, some guests suggest that the value is diminished by steep prices and additional costs.
The amenities, including pools and a spa, are generally well-received, yet there are occasional comments about the need for room and pool updates. The service is often lauded for being attentive, though experiences of slow service do occur.

We spent a week at Centara Villas Phuket. The setting is simply extraordinary, nestled in a green setting that gives a real impression of living in a tropical garden. The villa overlooking the Andaman Sea, built with noble materials, offers an elegant and soothing setting, perfect for rejuvenating.
The whole site is impeccably maintained, with two beautiful swimming pools and direct access to the beach. Breakfast is hearty and delicious, accompanied by a superb view that adds a magical touch to every morning. The staff is very decent, always attentive and discreet, contributing greatly to the quality of our stay.
Although the site requires a bit of fitness due to its topography, the beauty of the place is well worth the effort. Every corner of this hotel has a unique atmosphere that contributes to the exceptional experience we have had.
Some areas for improvement:
->A refreshment of the chalets would be desirable, in particular to modernize the electrical outlets that no longer support certain phone chargers.
Displaying net prices (VAT and service included) would be a real plus, as it is the norm in European countries and would facilitate transparency for customers.
Not being able to take the path to the beach after 6pm can be a bit of a constraint.
It would be helpful to inform customers that the gardening team is applying mosquito repellent treatment to avoid confusion or worry.

Everything about these villas was great. On arrival to reception you are met with a face cloth and welcome drink. The staff are friendly and attentive, always asking how you are and if you have had a good day. The security man was very helpful hailing taxis to where you needed to go. The nearest town is 5 minutes drive or into patong is 15/ 20 minutes during peak rush hour and you can expect to pay between 200-400 Baht. On arrival we always pack cleaning wipes for the sides and bathrooms, there were some spots that would not typically be picked up on a routine clean that we felt needed wiping but other than that we could not fault the cleanliness. The housekeeping team came everyday without request and were polite and helpful, drinking water for the room is also provided daily. The activities coordinator was extremely lovely, we booked 3 great excursions through her and she always remembered our itinerary when we saw her around the hotel and asked how we got on. There is a short walk from the pool down to the beach where we spent a lot of time, it is uneven paths and stairs so be sure to wear shoes. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the spa but browsing the treatment list, there were plenty of options to choose. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families, couples and friends.

A wonderful hotel located on a mountainside, secluded from the bustle of the island. Our villa 305 with beautiful sea views. A huge amount of greenery on the hotel grounds. All the staff are responsive and respond to all requests promptly. Since the hotel is on a slope, there are a lot of steps to go up/down, but there is a tuk tuk.yu running around the area, which arrives within a couple of minutes after calling the reception. The breakfasts are delicious and quite varied. Upon check-in there is a deposit of 3,000 baht, which is returned without any problems upon check-out. We rented the bike right here at the hotel. The price tag is adequate. The beach is good, the sea is clean. The hotel has a separate descent to the beach, opposite which there is all the infrastructure. Just keep in mind that it may rain periodically in May. Cleaning is daily, mini bar (wine, beer, soda) is paid. Instant coffee and water, replenished daily, are included in the price. There are no shops near the hotel; the nearest 7/11 is a five-minute bike ride or walk down to the beach. There are also cafes, shops, massages within a five-minute drive. You can get around by bike, rented car, or taxi. The entire hotel area is designed in such a way that you rarely intersect with other guests. We will definitely return to this hotel again! Thank you very much to all the staff for our wonderful holiday!

Run away! You arrive they ask you 1500 bath per person per night because they feel that as tourists you are bad payers so a deposit if you ever eat at the hotel. Then you book excursions and taxi from the hotel service (which are very expensive for Thailand) quoting you that it is a quality service out of the drivers are always late and a little girl was throwing up in the taxi and he doesn’t even know stopped! Late for breakfast so be careful if you leave early. They ask you to leave the room at 11am and tell you the evening schedule at 10pm for the next morning. They do not give you the documents concerning your departure.
The ladies are not pleasant Only positive is the security and shuttle drivers of the hotel who are friendly!
So we meet in the lobby of the hotel from 11am to 6pm in the evening with our suitcases until our departure. (knowing that the pool closes very early so no occupation) For the price it's not worth them. Hotel with 4 stars? They're shooting stars, aren't they?
To flee to flee!!!

We have just returned from a 3 week stay, so we have pros and cons. After a very long journey from the UK we arrived around 10.00am in the morning to be told our room was not ready, We waited 4 hours until are room was ready, we were very tired and hot. We was also told we could not have breakfast unless we paid for it that day although breakfast was included in our stay.
The air con in our room was constantly breaking 4 times a engineer came to fix it in the end the offered us alternative room, it seemed there was lots of complaints over the air con, Although the staff were amazing and got it sorted immediately, I think the generator is very old and needs a new one.
Be aware of the stairs in this hotel as they are a killer and had we known how many there were to climb we never would have booked here, they offer a TUK TUK to take you around the hotel which is welcome in the heat.
Sunbeds in the lower pool are very dirty and need replacing my daughter never wanted to lay on them, so we used the sister hotel centara grand, which is beautiful, but you have to pay 200 Baht to get there and back which really puts cost on to your holiday.
All in all, the hotel was ok, The staff are polite and very friendly but I would not go back to centara villas again.
Karon is very quiet and the hotel is to far out of the way

This was our 4th stay at this hotel. There has been little change at the hotel since our first stay. Maintenance is obviously lacking with some areas requiring immediate attention. Our Villa had a private private pool and was not being filtered correctly, we reported it numerous times but the cloudy quality of the water was a concern. This issue was not remidied attended to during our 11 day stay. The Housekeeping staff were observed to clean coffee cups and glasses with only the non pottable water from the taps. No detergent was used. This practice is totally unacceptable especially following Covid. We had also requested a top sheet for our bed but this took 3 days to happen, only to see it disappear on the 4th day after housekeeping! Staff attitudes were generally business like, even aloof at times. The exception was Bon, whose friendly "can do" attitude was always welcome and her attention to detail made our stay more memorable. Constant complaints re our pool did eventually result in a refund of the pool component of our room bill. My wife was told that laundry service was not available due to a breakdown of their washing machine and that "she would have to seek" alternate services elsewhere. When questioning the availability of a shuttle service to Paton we were told that this was no longer available. We had made use of this service on all our previous visits and were shocked that this service was no longer available. The food quality was not up to what we had previously experienced. We had an identical meal at the adjacent Centara Grand which was delightful. My wife had spring rolls delivered to our room that appeared slimy on the inside and did not taste right. She was violently ill the following day. The shower did not drain correctly, often taking minutes after a shower to drain fully. The toilets accessible to the dining area regularly had no soap or paper towels available. When finalizing the bill I requested that the cost of an extra beer I had left in the fridge offset the cost of a small can of Sprite. I was clearly told that this was not possible and that bill would not be adjusted, all for the sake of 65 Baht! Whilst waiting to check out we observed two other guests making various complaints. Given our experience at Centara Villas, we would not recommend staying here.

This hotel was our 2nd stop following a great stay at Centara resort Ao Nang.
I had emailed before our arrival to see if a spa room was available (as a surprise upgrade for my partners special birthday) and received a response to advise it was. Unfortunately on check in this wasn't mentioned and as I wanted it to be a surprise it was hard for me to mention this with my partner next to me.
Tuk Tuk down to our room (215) but then many steps and an in correct map meant it took a couple of days to find the correct route to take each time. In the evenings we walked up to the main path & rang a tuk tuk to collect as there are ALOT of steps up to the reception area & we dodbt want to be sweaty before even getting out. We had booked an ocean view room and being on the edge of the resort this was very very limited. I left my partner in the room to go and discuss moving due to previous request and limited view. We were offered a same room grade move for next day (but view still limited) or spa room upgrade for the latter half of our stay despite being told 3 days previously on email (which I acknowledged & replied to) it was available for the full stay.
We opted to stay put in the first room as the extra cost plus hassle of moving mid stay put us off. I opted to spend the money I'd set aside for the upgrade on a great meal out instead. Rooms definitely need upgrading, bathroom extremely drafty (bitten loads despite drowning myself in repellent), fridge didn't work, toiletries not restocked, bin with no lid (to be used for toilet paper), bed made but not changed in 6 nights & towels only replaced if you left on the floor
Staff in reception, tuk tuk & bar were friendly and attentive for the limited time we spent there. Lovely sunsets from the Cliff bar.
Path to the other resort is great but closes at 6pm (un even & not lit) be a great idea to offer a shuttle bus from the Grand in the early evening as we spent a couple of sunsets on Karon beach with Bolt taxis to return, not a major cost but would be a nice touch for those wanting to stay at the beach and the better pools post 6pm.
We booked this as part of a group booking (our friends stayed the week previous). Personally we wouldn't return as location wise we would prefer Karon/Kata within walking distance of the local shops/markets/beach.
Bolt taxi 200bhat into kata, karon & patong which we used alot. tuk tuks will charge more as its hilly to get back up to the hotel.

What you liked: 1) Excellent attitude of staff, all very smiley, will always help in difficult situation. Cleaning is daily or necessary. 2) Very beautiful views, especially at sunset (attach photo) 3) If you get tired of walking up the stairs, there is a tuk tuk on the grounds, which can be called from almost anywhere in the hotel 4) The breakfast meals were the same, but there was a lot of choice, so every day they tried something new. Particularly enjoyed the huge selection of freshly squeezed juices 5) The hotel is in a quiet location, no loud music is heard, however if you want to drive to restaurants, shops, etc., you can call a taxi for 100 Baht and get to your desired destination in 7 minutes. 6) to 7 eleven walked across the beach, so much faster (minutes 10), if walking on the road, it will be much longer (from 30 minutes). However, at 18:00 the passage from the hotel to the beach is closed, so had to walk during the day. 7) There are many animals on the territory (no snakes!!!): lizards, seals, butterflies, etc. We even met a waran outside the garden once. What didn't like: 1) The beach at high tide is very dirty (although it is not the hotel's fault, as the beach is not private, but public), but I have heard that in August this often happens 2) It may be a Thai thing, but please note that if you order food at a restaurant attached to the hotel (Cliff), you will have to pay an additional 10% for service and plus NDS 3) Please note that the hotel is located on mountainous terrain, so you will have to walk on stairs a lot. It wasn't a problem for us, but I think it'll be hard for the elderly or tourists with kids. Yes, there is a tuk tuk on the grounds, but you can only walk to the sea (about 5 minutes by not the best staircase) 4) Repairs are worth updating, plumbing sometimes whistles, toilet flushed badly, but in general everything looks decent.

Relaxed in August 2024 at the Centara Villas Hotel. The hotel is wonderful. Friendly, pleasant and polite staff. I'll start with the hotel room: It's clean and bright, the balcony windows overlook the sea. Air conditioning works properly, cleaning daily, everything is cleanly neat, bathroom facilities are available, furniture is a little old but looks nice and vintage. Sometimes geckos or cockroaches crawl into the room, but you have to understand that here the villas are houses in the bush and it is natural that every small animal crawls into the vents. Let's just say the geckos ran away immediately and were rarely seen in the room. Generally tolerable. The hotel has a lot of stairs, the legs will always be toned, you have to understand that you will have to climb down a lot. There are two swimming pools, a spa and two restaurants. The price tag is slightly higher in a restaurant than in a cafe in town. That has to be understood. We only ate in the hotel restaurant in case of great laziness or late hours. Next to the centara villas stands another hotel centara grand whose infrastructure is allowed to use, it is additional swimming pools, sunbeds and gym. To get down to the other hotel and the sea you have to climb more stairs down through the thicket of trees along a stone path of steps. One of the downsides is that this trail is a little muddy. There may be packs, bottles, but the trail is green, lizards run, butterflies fly - a corner of wildlife. Anyway, by climbing these stairs you get to the beach. Further down the beach along you can already walk to other cafes or shops or to a hotel where you can also hang out. You have to walk a lot! This hotel is for those with strong legs! :) Water is given 2 bottles a day, try to buy water yourself, may not be enough
To sum up: the pluses - beautiful views from the hotel, nature and greenery on high! Clean hotel and service, rich infrastructure with swimming pools and halls, restaurants and spas, friendly and courteous staff. Breakfast included and plenty to choose from!
Of the downsides is the unmaintained path - the stairway to the beach, if it could be cleaned up would be super. Some might find it hard to have stairs, I'm fine. Other shops and cafes are a long way from the hotel. Well, the prices of restica are higher than the city.
As a result, the holiday went perfectly, I advise and recommend the hotel, did not regret choosing it, for the stairs was ready!

Definitely recommend staying here. We stayed for 9 days over Christmas and the new year and we loved it! The staff are all so friendly and attentive, the rooms are cleaned daily with complimentary bottles of water given (and the rooms are huge!). We had breakfast included which was one of the best breakfast buffets we’ve experienced. So much choice of food. Although strange to see Pad Thai & curries there!
They offer a free hourly shuttle bus 10-4 to Karon Beach, otherwise it’s 200 baht each way in a tuktuk, and 300 baht each way to Karon. The pools are lovely too, quiet while we were there which was nice.
We have nothing bad to say! Other than there are lots of steps as the hotel is based on a cliff, but they do have their own tuktuk to take you around the hotel.
