Clean and comfortable hotel with excellent restaurant and welcoming staff. We have stayed here several times over the years and have enjoyed how they have grown the business to provide a home-like hotel with excellent food and wine. The hotel is near the historical castles which provide good hiking and views of the valley. There is a wonderful leather worker's shop a few blocks away, Aldolfi Rinaldi, who offers beautiful leather goods.

The room had too much furniture. The breakfast was a lot of bread and cake. The dinner had healthy and varied options including a fabulous vegetarian option and original meat roasted on a wooden tube! This was one of the best evening meals we had at our cycling tour. Unfortunately we were there for too short a time. Service was good in the restaurant. The town is near a long bike path along a river.

On a trip to visit family, in a small mountain town, close to the Swiss Italian border, we were absolutely presently surprised at the standard of both service & extra touches. As well as the quality & presentation of the food. A honoured step back in time, where the client is everything. Hotel Sassella. More than just a motel, also a fabulous restaurant, function rooms, reception house....where nothing is too much trouble. Gorgeous, generous, efficient.

The hotel owner and staff are very friendly and do all efforts to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We booked this hotel to enjoy a relaxing weekend (romantic formula) and our wishes got fulfilled. We enjoyed the wellness area and massage. The room was good and spacious. The dinner with 4 courses was tasty! Only one minus: there was too less time/breaks (if any) between these courses. We were satisfied and would come back for sure!

I have visited this place a couple of times this year and before. Not being a hotel guest. Only for dining. I keep coming back since it has still the grandeur of the old days. There is the 'gerand' (the owner?) and he is fully in charge of making everyone comfortable. With a (over?) friendly voice and tone ('my friend') but with a rigor to his staff in having everything perfect on a plate. Both Eye and mouth are treated here very well. I would have given 5 stars, BUT ... the time between the courses is incredibly short .. There was hardly time (in fact NO time) for me to finish my beer and order for wine at the main course .. After finishing a course, it seems a challenge, game, target to take away all from the table .. I felt here and there 'hurried-up' in getting my plates done, while I was in a mood to sit down, relax, enjoy after a tough cycle-ride in the mountains .. second : I have found the only place in Italy where an espresso is not an espresso ... and that's here .. sorry to say .. Even at the Gas-stations on the Autostrada the Espresso's are terrific .. cold, no crema, bitter taste ..
