We stayed in the Magnolia apartment for 1 week, with our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens and a 2-year old). We had an amazing stay! The location is stunningly beautiful, with great views of the lake. The apartment was very spacious, clean and well equipped. We very much enjoyed relaxing by the pool and on the terraces near our rooms. The owners were very friendly and gave us good directions on where to go and where to eat. Massino Visconti is a small village, but within walking distance you can find a small grocery store where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, drinks etc. Bigger supermarkets can be found in the towns nearby, like Lesa. We also enjoyed the ice cream from the gelateria around the corner! We would definitely recommend Casa Mariuccia, and if we decide to revisit Lago Maggiore (the area is incredibly beautiful!), we would not hesitate to stay here again!

First up - we had an amazing time here. The views are stunning, the building, and flat we were in, well appointed and clean. The location is also outstanding and the potential excursions (which we didn’t take full advantage of thanks to the pool) looked amazing. On arrival we found quite a difference between what we had booked (two bedroom flat) and the set up the owners had prepared for us (sofa bed in living space as the second bedroom). There was extensive ‘polite discussion’ around various options and we ended up with what we had booked at the price we’d booked it for. That said, without going into the detail, it was not a good start to our stay. Maybe as a result of this, we ended up without a briefing as to how things (bins, towels, local facilities etc) work, which caused a couple of minor issues. An ‘instruction pack’ would be helpful. Definitely ask the owners for restaurant and excursion advice. They’ll also help you order pizza from the amazing local pizzeria.

We stayed for the 2nd time 3 days with the family in this lovely place. Located nicely above the lake, we enjoyed the nice pool and the good rooms. We enjoyed the peace and the possiblity to cook the own breakfast and also dinner. The price of 10 € for breakfast (even for the 4 year old chid) is way too expensive...

Beautiful house, stunning setting good to visit the lake and surrounds. We loved it here, the owners were lovely and welcoming and we totally relaxed in our big apartment. View from our room was over the little town so not over the lake but a nice balcony right output side our door made up for this. We had breakfast there and if nit picking I would say that to charge full price for the children was a bit much as children eat so little but that didn't round our stay. Not much to see in the town but nice to walk around..there is a nice patisserie in the town so that's an option for breakfast too. Overall we loved it.

We stayed three nights in Casa Mariuccia and had a wonderful time. The owners were very kind and explained a lot about possible excursions around Lago Maggiore. A special asset of the hotel is housekeeper Hannah, who was so very thougthful, especially towards our kids. The room was spacious and clean. We recommend reserving the breakfast as it is served on the terrace with a magnificent view over the lake. Casa Mariuccia deserves a spot in the 'Top 10' of best hotels we've stayed in!

From the moment we arrived at this location the owners were more than helpful. Despite their limited English nothing was too much trouble. The building itself was by far the most interesting place we have ever stayed in. Our suite was large, well appointed and spotless. The beautiful balcony and delightful gardens are only beaten by the incredible breathtaking view of the lake and mountains from the pool. The village itself has few amenities but there is a good selection of restaurants and bars only a few kms away. We stayed a week and the continental breakfasts became a tad dull but this was my only real complaint. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
