We checked into the Chichester for a birthday treat for me and it was just amazing. We got there late and was greeted by Steve who was doing the night shift, what a lovely lovely man. He gave us our keys to a beautiful room and then we went and had a drink at the bar and had a nice...

Stayed at the Chichester during a recent visit to Essex. The hotel is easy to find and has considerable car parking. Reception is genuinely friendly and helpful and the check in process quick and painless. The rooms although not the most modern looking are well equipped and the room I stayed in included a sitting area and widescreen TV with...

I ate here this morning. The staff were less than attentive, the breakfast was pre cooked and kept warm... Not hot... Under lights, the toast was dry, the eggs solid and everything else congealed. The plates were stone cold. ... We had to ask for drinks and not once were we asked how our food was... Probably for the best!!...

Very dark and tired hotel. The rooms were basic but clean but really didn't like net curtains at the Windows!!! Breakfast was ok, but every time we went up to the hot buffet there was always something they had run out of!

I stayed there for two nights recently and, whilst the rooms were comfy, the HOT breakfast buffet was VERY POOR INDEED!! The schedule lists the Breakfast cost, if not included, at just short of a tenner and the food looked AND TASTED very tired! The toast was ROCK HARD, the beans looked like they'd been there overnight too and the...

We recently stayed at 'The Chichester' as an over night stop before travelling to Spain from Southend Airport. When booking online booking.com and the hotel gave 2 very different impressions so we were not certain to begin with. However, we went for it as the price was fantastic (£70.00p for 2 adults and 2 children in an executive double) and...

Nice hotel, friendly welcome and clean tidy well presented rooms. Can only just be OK as all service points, dinner, breakfast, bar were all very average. No real engagement with customers, relatively slow service, food quality average at best. Shame really. Could have been good but slipped to average.

Went to the Chichester to look around as a potential venue for my wedding day next year. After being shown around we decided we wanted to book it. I called on the following Monday to pay my deposit and book the venue, and was told that someone would call me back to take the amount. I received no call back...
