This is one of those places I want to tell everyone about but also want to keep secret! The cottage was cute, comfortable and cosy, the pool was fabulous for daytime cooling off and midnight swims and the food (homegrown/local/homemade) was high end restaurant quality. Peaceful, beautiful, perfect. Oh and the resident donkey was adorable!
Go and explore beautiful Extramedura while staying at this Magical place ❤️! All the rooms are beautiful decorated, Every detail is thought of. It’s near the town Jaraíz de la Vera, but also in the middle of nature. You can taste their three types of figue, tomatos, peaches, apples... We had a beautiful ‘livingroom’ outside our room and a private swimmingpool😻🥂 Furthermore, the owners are Very sweet and helpful people! We are very thankful for meeting them! So go and book a room and meet them, Extramedura, their dogs and the donkey 💃🏻
Beautiful place within a fantastic finca, full of cherry and olives trees. We stayed with our 3 teenagers in the big rural house with our own pool. Amazing breakfast with local products and dinner has been served on our request with typical local dishes. From the first to the last day service, cleaning and personal attention has been excellent by the owner Soledad and her team (Juan Carlos and Puri).
We´d stayed three nights in the beatiful vaqueria. Soledad and her team have been very attentive with us. Decoration very careful and cooking really good. They make us feel as home Perfect place for resting and enjoying of the nature, at the same time with luxurios and well taste Strongerly recommended. Thanks so much Yago and Soledad ! MABEL (Cádiz)
La Vaqueria Cantaelgallo is a hidden gem in a truly beautiful setting where we had the pleasure of staying for 3 nights. Soledad and her team were very welcoming and extremely attentive throughout our stay and Soledad was always ready to give suggestions for day trips in the area and restaurant suggestions. The stone cottage was shabby chic, beautifully furnished and contained everything one would need. We were welcomed by a roaring fire in our cottage on our first evening followed by a lovely evening meal in the main house. Take a gin & tonic on the terrace and feast your eyes on the lovely views of olive trees, mountains, Marcelino (the donkey) and listen to the chorus of birds and of course, the roosters!. We felt relaxed straight away and 3 nights was not enough! Great to find somewhere that welcomes dogs so it was a full family holiday with the kids (a dog) running wild in the olive grove. It was so good we have booked to go back for 4 nights in July. Highly recommended.…
