Having visited this place on many an occasion, it's been great to stay this time in the recently refurbished 'Garden House' wing. Anna and Norrie have separated out one half of their beautiful house so that you can either stay as a self-catering guest (which...More

Thanks for your lovely review ad as always it was a pleasure to see you. Come back soon!
We had a lovely break at the garden cottage in January. We have family in Mallaig, but wanted to enjoy the tranquillity of the Ardnamurchan peninsula while we were in the highlands.
The garden cottage is in a beautiful location - we enjoyed some brilliant...More

Anna and Norrie couldn't have been more welcoming we arrived with their lively conversation, excellent advice about places to visit and to eat, and much needed tea. Their garden is tremendous, and supplied blackcurrants for our porridge at breakfast , as well as Norrie's excellent...More

We stayed in Skye last June, and had no problem whatsoever with midges. We are returning in July this year, and I am more concerned about them for this trip. I read that Avon Skin So Soft, Soft & Fresh Dry Oil Body Spray is the thing to have/wear to repel them best. An article I found about it on The Telegraph online site entitled, "Don't let the midges bug you" by Judith Woods. I'd post the link, but this site won't allow that. Hopefully you can find that info online.
Anyway, we are planning our stay at Ard Darraich for July, and it looks so beautiful- I can't wait! Hope your vacation goes well, too.
