What a fantastic venue nestled in the bush with views over Kaiteriteri beach, generous sized rooms from where we enjoyed bush walks, spa, sauna, pools, and a massage, remote and quiet yet only a 10min walk to the beach
I stayed here just one night so I could enjoy two wonderful days of hiking at Abel Tasman National Park in winter. Kimi Ora is just a few minutes from Kaiteriteri, where you can catch a boat into the park for a variety of day...More

We are so please that you had a great time at Kimi Ora, even in the rain and hope to welcome you back soon!
Kind Regards, Suzie
We were very comfortable in a studio suite on the hillside overlooking Kaiteriteri. Delicious wholefood breakfast buffets were especially appreciated, and included in the tariff. Would recommend an evening glow worm trail excursion. Would definitely return.

Thank you from Karina and the team at Kimi Ora Eco Resort.
Kimi Ora provided us with good quality, if somewhat homely facilities throughout all of our stay. The rooms were very comfortable with nice views and high quality amenities.
We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and the vegetarian restaurant is simply amazing; great...More

There are bus/shuttle services that go from Nelson to Kaiteriteri. I didn't use it as we had a car when staying there, but they are daily and most likely more than 1 a day from various companies. Once you've booked your accommodation, I would suggest you contact the resort directly and ask them to either advise you which company to use, best way to get to them or they may even be able to organise a transfer for you from Nelson. They were very helpful and lovely to deal with when we stayed there.
Its a short walk from the main beach up to the resort although not the easiest with luggage.
A beautiful part of the country and you can get water taxis from the main beach up into the National Park for day trips if required. So you can see a lot without needing to have a car (as long as you are able to walk short distances).
I can recommend sea kayaking in the area and an overnight stay at the Awaroa Lodge near the top of the park if you want to spend a bit of time walking some of the tracks. There are plenty of day trip options too where you can visit some lovely beaches, and seal colonies and do some walks.

Hi. Kimi Ora Resort is about an hour from Nelson I am unsure of the buses that go to Kaiteriteri as we have never had to use them. The other alternative is to hire a car for a couple of day's. That will give you the freedom to look around a bit & you will want to as it's a beautiful part of the country.
