We travel on cruise ships quite often, and usually the more stylish ones that have a well-deserved reputation for the excellence of their cuisine. We also eat out quite often in good West End restaurants, so we know what we're talking about when we say that the breakfasts and snacks that Anthea and Brian offer their guests is of stunningly... The breakfast was amazing the nibbles and wine tasting was a nice touch. The room was beautiful, bed very comfy and the bathroom very clean. Anthea and Brian were superb hosts and... More

First, this area of South Island is stunning and is a must visit. Second, Kaiteriteri is a great location and base for looking around. Third, Bellbird Lodge is beautifully situated with super views - it is very comfortable - and with Anthea and Brian as hosts this is an unbeatable B&B. This was the first B&B we've ever stayed in, and did they ever set the bar high! The property itself is gorgeous, situated upon a hill with beautiful gardens & an amazing view of water. Quite possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, it was wonderful! The breakfasts were to die for - some of the best food... More

I cannot put into the words how wonderful this B&B is. it is outstanding in every way, from the view from the house, the decor of the room, the fantastic hospitality that we received from our hosts Anthea and Brian. We were welcomed after a long journey with a cup of tea and home made cake. The breakfasts were so... More

Anthea and Brian have created a beautiful B&B with beautiful gardens and beautiful views. They are friendly, helpful in advising about activities, and are happy to make reservations. The breakfasts - and tea and happy hour - are scrumptious. Anthea is particularly creative in all she does. And Brian has great stories to tell. They provide an over-the-top experience. We... More

We stayed at Bellbird Lodge for six nights at the end of a long trip to NZ. We could not have made a better choice. We could not have asked for a better room, a better view or better care and attention to detail. Bellbird Lodge is beautifully situated, our room was superbly appointed and we really benefitted from Anthea... More
