Had dinner for 6 in the Coach House which is separate from the rest of the Hotel. Beautiful, private space. The food was excellent with many locally sourced ingredients. The service was very good... friendly, helpful and professional.

The hotel is delightful set in a small rural village with thatched cottages aplenty and only 11 miles or so from Salisbury We actually had experience of two rooms during our stay. Room 10 is a long way up a number of flights of narrow stairs (hence the title of this review) If only they had lifts in the 17th...

This is a delightful small hotel situated in a peaceful valley, well away from any main roads, and I selected it as a destination for our latest wedding anniversary. It is a very old building, dating back to c. 1632, but the house is generously proportioned and the main reception rooms look out over the beautiful gardens. The ten bedrooms...

We visited Howards House several years ago and it has always been in our minds to revisit as a special place. We were not disappointed on our most recent visit. A beautiful setting, a warm welcome, superb food and comfy beds, what more could we ask for?

We were part of a large (30) wedding party of mixed nationalities and Howard's House rose magnificently to the occasion. Rooms, food, walks - all perfect. Even our American nephews were induced to behave themselves and ate everything they were given. Our room was no. 10 on the top floor, under the eaves, and had delightful views of the chalk...

It's simply idyllic. So relaxed, and relaxing. Yes, it's a little out of the way, but is well worth going off the beaten track for. Lovely food (really lovely!) A delightful spot for a break, and great value.

We booked the Coach House for lunch for 13 friends and family yesterday. We had a fabulous time! The room is light and spacious, with its own kitchen and toilet facilities. With our own chef and very helpful waiting staff, we had a lovely meal- everyone wanted to give the chef a good round of applause!. Nothing was too much...

Howard's House is a delightful country house in a beautiful setting. The service is warm and friendly and the food is second to none. Set in the pretty village of Teffont Evias close to the church, Howards House sits in pretty gardens with an air of timelessness. Warm and very comfortable accommodation with a country house feel, log fires, comfy...

As a birthday treat my partner and I visited the hotel for afternoon tea this weekend. My partner has a myriad of food allergies and after explaining exactly what he can and can't eat they went above and beyond to provide some treats for him too. It starts with an appetizer to ready the palate, followed by the sandwiches (nice...
