A very pleasurable stay. Absolutely nothing to fault. This casale is situated in an oasis of peacefulness but well connected if you want to explore other areas in Sicily around Etna. Extremely clean room and good sized with all the amenities in place. Valentina and Alberto were awesome hosts. Very friendly and welcoming with excellent tips on what to do...

We were a bit disappointed by our recent stay here. We were expecting a friendly Sicilian family atmosphere but found it a little unwelcoming. Our room was adequate but for example the bed was a camp bed so uncomfortable. The food was nice but actually one of the most expensive meals we had in the whole of Sicily, which was...

We stayed three nights at this quiet, small hotel located in a beautiful and quiet setting. Valentina and Alberto are charming, attentive and helpful. Breakfasts are wonderful, and included a sensational almond cake (I asked for, and received the recipe). We had a delicious dinner at the hotel one night, and had dinner at local restaurants too. The history of...

You wake up in the morning, jump out of bed, and you are immediately surrounded by trees, birds chirping, horses galloping. Breakfast outside under the trees. Good local food. The kitchen host Dino is a very nice person. Speaks Italian and good English. The hosts, Family Romano are a very nice couple. Helpful when you ask but they don`t bother...

Coming from Trapani to Catania in our trip, and driving for some thousand km around the island, we had met a lot of very warm and nice people in Sicily. This is not the case at Casale Poggio del Tiglio. I'm not saying that the hosts here are bad people, but only distant, a bit indifferent and not that eager...

Near Mt. Etna, former estate of a Baronessa, be sure to see the giant house-size medieval wine press inside made of a whole chestnut tree. Owner and staff most kind and pleasant, food for dinner was tops, unique and highly specialized local Sicilian cuisine, dishes we could not get elsewhere. Perfect in all respects, will return.

We are so glad we found this place. The pool was refreshing and the room was clean and a very good size. The breakfast was always more than enough to get the day going but most of all the people made the place welcoming. Thank you for giving us a great relaxation space in busy Sicily!!

We visited the agriturismo only for a night, perhaps that was why we were greeted so coldly by the hostess Valentina, not exactly the Sicilian hospitality we had come to know and love having traveled in Sicily for over a month at that point. The property was very nice and taken care of but most certainly not, as other reviewers...

Arriving from the North, we emerged at het Poggio del Tiglio. Difficult to find, as the indications show you along the ancient road (rather than along the main road). However, when you have found the Poggio, you have arrived in a world more friendly and more beautiful than outside. A room with a view at the sea and at the...
