No food at all available at the hotel and no warning of this before we arrived. Everywhere else in Newquay was also either fully booked or closed. The room itself was good, but was not cleaned or tea/coffee replenished. The window was wedged partly open with a block of wood. No adjustments could be made. The accommodation entrance was filthy, obviously not cleaned or washed for a long time. Nobody on site seemed to be managing the establishment, but the bar staff were very pleasant.

Room Tip: Book somewhere to eat before you arrive in Newquay. Don't expect to be able to order after 7 pm.

So quite a few of my family were in Newquay for the Bank Holiday weekend it was also my mother's 70th birthday ,so I decided to drive up from South Wales so I could be there for her birthday, only good thing I can say is that I saw my mam on her birthday, we were booked in for 5.15 and first meals came out at approximately 6 o clock ,which wasn't too bad but then mine and my 3 year old grandaughters meal came out more than 20 minutes later by which time my granddaughter was so hungry she started playing up and most of the others had finished anyway. After we had all finished the waitres came over to ask if we wanted dessert and then said and I quote "just to let you know we need the tables back in 20 minutes"that was it for me ,I had no dessert and left, There was a older lady waitress who tried to be helpbut the younger one had a shocking attitude, so in all I would just avoid the place altogether. One final point is that they are not using the correct cleaning products either, they are using D2 general cleaner when they should be using D10 sanitiser and they are not leaving the product on the surfaces for the correct contact time either 😡😡😡

My husband had booked for our 30th Wedding anniversary through booking.com, for two nights, who then emailed to cancel the booking. I phoned the hotel directly and was able to book one night, the reason for the cancellation was for room updates. The room was very small, I pulled the blinds down and it was like a snow storm of dust. The window frames were rotten. The view from both windows was out onto a flat roof, with wires and rubbish. The shower was mouldy with cracked tiles. Although the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a constant humming noise in the room, think it was a boiler so didn't sleep well. The staff were all lovely, except for one when I asked if we could have a drink inside. She asked if we were having food, as we had already eaten, I said no to be informed that we couldn't. I then informed that we were actually staying in the hotel. She replied not my problem. So glad we didn't have to stay another night.
