We had a lovely weekend in this Grade II listed building which has been converted into three apartments to a very high standard with views across the water. Location is right on the quay with several pubs and eating places to choose from all within walking distance or if you want to stay in for the evening the Flame Factory below will deliver food to your apartment door.
We will be returning for another visit.

We stayed in the Engine Room apartment, a two bed, two bath set up with large open plan living area on the top floor (note this property would prove challenging for non able bodied persons due to the stairs access). There is an apartment beside this one and one below it. On the ground floor is a popular restaurant operated by the apartment owners. You can order food to be collected / delivered to the apartment from them, self cater or bring food back. Access to the apartments is via the restaurant during the evening but via side door when it is closed. There is good wifi and central heating throughout. The whole apartment is very modern with great views over the estuary. The only downside is parking, the website says it is free, which it is, as it's on the main street, the problem being not many of the houses in Appledore have parking so the street is mostly full of locals cars which means you might have to park away from the apartment. There is a long stay car park a five minute walk away which you will have to pay for. Around the property is a selection of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance.

We stayed Friday to Sunday in the beautifully decorated, hyper clean, attic room. Wonderful views of Appledore from both sides of the building, allowing a total view of the quai. I knew my husband was feeling relaxed when I saw him talking to a perched seagull out of the window. "This is better than our 25th wedding anniversary weekend in Sorrento." was his view of the weekend (husband, not seagull...).

We’ve been visiting in Appledore for 40+ years and have tried many different accommodations - The Appledore Factory is by far the best.
The apartment is tastefully furnished, well equipped and beautifully decorated . It is spacious and comfortable with amazing views.
A restaurant downstairs serving fantastic food is an amazing bonus and despite it being busy we didn’t hear anything at all - must be the solid building with natural soundproofing.
The hosts are all so welcoming, friendly and helpful and could not be improved upon.
Our best ever stay and we would very highly recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights in The Loft apartment. Brian the host was very friendly and helpful, advising us where to visit and places to eat. The apartment was very clean, very well-equipped with a great shower. It was very spacious and we really enjoyed the lovely views. Parking we found was easy and free on the front. We had take out twice from The Flame Factory - pizzas and burgers were amazing. The other night we had fish & chips from Sylvesters - which were excellent. Appledore was a lovely short break away and would definitely go back. Highly recommend Appledore Factory.

We stayed for a couple of nights on the way down to Cornwall. The apartment was very large, airy and clean with superb views over the bay. The apartments are run by the people who run The Flame Factory restaurant on the ground floor. They were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, whilst the pizzas and steaks at the restaurant are excellent. Would definitely stay again if visiting Appledore and do not hesitate in recommending highly both the apartments and restaurant.

We thoroughly recommend the apartment and location. We had a lovely weekend and Brian and Angie could not do enough to ensure their guests had a lovely time. The apartment was decorated and fitted to a high standard. Parking was on the street but we managed to find a parking space, there is a carpark a few hundred yards away.

We wanted a few days away and fell across this delightful village. We stayed in the flame factory two bed room apartment over looking the sea. The apartment was spotless, extremely comfortable beds , sofas , warm. Hosts Brian and Angela very hospitable. Will be back to see this place in the sun. Five stars.

Great location-right on the quay. Lovely 2 bed apartment with 2 bathrooms. Very spacious and beautifully furnished. Only 2 negative points: 1) we had to climb a lot of stairs to get to the apartment we were in . There is however an apartment on the floor below 2) there is no parking. Appledore is a very popular tourist spot and it is extremely difficult to get a spot on the quay. There is, however. A public car park further along the quay about a five minute or so walk The apartment itself is great and I would definitely stay again

Stayed 2 nights in this wonderful loft apartment with staggering views of the estuary. Spacious main room and bathroom. We came back to the apartment on the Saturday hoping to eat at the Flame Factory on the ground floor but it was full (it's full alot!) so the staff gave us the takeaway menu, we made our choices (food and beer) and they delivered it to the room in 15 minutes. Amazing! Happily stay here again
