We stayed for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Inn itself - about 500 years old - has undergone significant refurbishment but retained its charm. We enjoyed an evening meal here and two excellent breakfasts. The landlord and staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Don't expect large bedrooms - they...

2 of us and the dog stopped off whilst doing a nice big walk and taking in some of the SW Coastal Path. It was a lovely day (Last Tues) and ordered two ploughmans with tea and sat in the garden area. The Staff were friendly and service was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and the tea very refreshing. Oh,...

I was very much looking forward to trying out the newly refurbished pub as it's in a great location for coastal walks. However the food menu is very much along the lines of pub grub - burgers, chips, lasagne etc. Such a shame - lovely refurb, friendly staff, great beers but very uninspiring food.

We stumbled across the Dolphin Inn whilst exploring the local countryside. We were intrigued by the sign that said 'Please drive slowly through the pub', assuming it was a typo. No - the pub is on both sides of the road. And a lovely English country pub it looks too - perfect for Sunday lunch. Then it all went a...

We were so lucky to get a cancellation table for Sunday lunch! This is a very quaint, tiny, atmospheric ( as in a lively place) pub with only a few tables so booking is essential. We had the traditional roast beef Sunday dinner. Two courses £13.90 or one course £9.50 - I don't remember the cost for three courses sadly....

My Husband and I were visiting family in Kingston and stayed at the Dolphin Inn, we had an extremely pleasant stay and Craig and his team are very friendly. Nothing was too much, they were very accommodating - even when the kitchen was closed and we wanted some food, Craig re-opened and it was no trouble for him. One of...

11 of us had a xmas meal and Craig really did us proud in his refurbished restaurant. Choice and quality of food and service was outstanding. Cost was very reasonable. George was particularly good looking after us - polite, funny and efficient. Well worth a visit.

Lovely cosy traditional pub in typical South Devon village. Pleasant welcome. Excellent well filled sandwiches. Our friends particularly enjoyed the crab sandwiches. Good beer. Parking needs care. Recommended.

An olde worlde pub with great atmosphere, food and drinks with friendly and helpful staff. We learned that it was to be refurbished in Autumn 2016 so I hope they don't destroy all the good things that might lose the atmosphere. I hope someone posts a review after the refurb is complete. There is a car park but not that...
