Overall a gem near Singapore for a 2-3 days getaway. The property is massive with around 4-5 resort properties within the whole nirvana gardens estate. We stayed at Indra maya villas. You do feel the post covid effect at the place considering it recently started and still running load occupancy. Many restaurants and properties are still closed making it a dull place as yet. Overall it’s a warm feeling to be in Indonesia as the people are really nice and warm. Feel bad for the hard times they might have faced during covid with all the properties shutting down. Some pros of staying at the villa 1) villas are massive and great for 6-7 adults and 2-3 kids. We stayed at the sea front villas which is right besides the sea with a large personal swimming pool. 2). View is incredible, villas is luxurious with spacious rooms and 4 bathroom and 3 bedrooms. 3) you get a buggy along with the villas so moving around is super convenient 4) the staff at nirvana garden resort is great and prefer to go and eat a Dino cafe or the coffee shop for morning breakfast. 5) beach at nirwana gardens is amazing with white sand and clean waters. 6) kitchen is fully equipped. Also has a microwave and a coffee machine. 7) do carry a volley ball if you fancy a game as there is a volleyball court at the beach. Also few but not all activities are available like shooting, archery, horse ridding, billiards to name a few. Some cons of staying at Indra maya 1) there is a large bathroom in the master bathroom which has open access to the back side which looks little scarier at night considering this place is scheduled at night and the doors don’t look properly. Also inviting some insects/ lizards inside. 2) spice restaurant talks about offering a variety of food but the vibes of this places is depressing and staff is not so friendly. Avoid eating there. Food is average here. This is the place where you can truly see the post covid effect. 3) not all the properties are opened yet so it’s quiet and little lonely after dark . Ideally you can carry some food along and make it in the kitchen of the villa saving some money and venturing alone at night. Avoid venturing to secluded areas if you are not in big group. 4) the beach place outside spice restaurant is really depressing. Light shuts down and there is no light if you feel like going to the beach at night. The coffee shop near beach doesn’t see any people and needs to lively up a bit. Suggestions 1) Some big size coffee mugs and Normal glasses to drink water in the kitchen is needed. There re loads of wine glasses 2) more options like insect repellent like a coil or spray is needed. Not enough for the entire villa. 3) some programs like live singers or beach activity could be arranged for people to stay entertained.

After 7 weeks touring Australia & New Zealand the 2 bedroom villa called Blowfish 2 was just perfect. We wanted 5 days of doing very little and that is what we got, the views are stunning, the interior lovely & the private pool was amazing. Due to the heat the wood in the outside areas are in need of a recoat but that didn't bother us. The servicing of the villa was fantastic and the people so helpful, the mini bar was restocked free of charge which is a nice touch. The buggy was great fun & we really enjoyed zipping around the resort - which is huge so the buggy was a welcome addition. We made use of the complimentary Kayaking and massage but never found the time for the bowling - too busy enjoying our pool! For us the best food was in the Spice Restaurant, consistently great with a really good choice. One of the best things here is the people, everyone is so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend staying here and we will return should we find ourselves in this area. One thing to note - it really is seclusion & privacy with entertainment on a Saturday. If you're after a busy, late social experience this may not be for you, but if you are after perfect relaxation in a wonderful place then look no further. Plus only an hour ferry from Singapore.

We (4 adults + 1 child) stayed for 4 nights in Tortoise C – Kwa Villa. This particular villa is located right at the top of a sea-facing cliff. There are 3 bedrooms, with 2 opening to the pool and sea. The view of the sea is enchanting and it doesn’t get any more private than this. Wake up on a lazy morning in the master bedroom to this picture perfect view (photo attached). Comes with a good medium sized pool which is 1.5m at the deep end…its ‘almost’ an infinity pool as there is a villa wall that comes between most snaps, unless you take it an angle. Luxurious use of space inside and outside the villa. The buggy is a good little addition and is very relaxing and useful to drive around to all the different resort facilities. The resort is really huge in size, so the buggy is a must-have. Comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a good selection of complimentary drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), which are refreshed every night. The villa does show a degree of wear and tear, especially with the bathroom fittings, curtains and doors. It might be an acceptable compromise for the private villa experience – just be sure you know how private it really is as it’s almost borderline isolated. Of course, there are some who prefer exactly that experience. The chef and staff at Spice restaurant deserve special mention – the food, be it Indian or Indonesian, was consistently delicious in sufficient quantity and assortments. There are sparrows flying around in this ‘open-concept’ restaurant and some might not like that. Complimentary breakfast is a standard spread with adequate options (irrespective of whether it is at Spice or at the Coffee Shop). We did go down to the range to try our hand at archery and air rifles. The complimentary bowling coupons were a nice touch and the facilities were well maintained. We also went for the off shore adventure for 3 and this was also a good adventurous experience. The crew in charge take adequate safety precautions and are very skilled. All the staff at the resort were friendly and courteous. Things to be wary of – 1. The door between the outdoor shower and the inner bathroom had a small gap. At midnight, a giant centipede (see photo) crawled in and hid behind the toilet. I think more pest control in such isolated villas, especially before the monsoon season should be mandatory. I dread to think what I would have done if it had crawled into our kid’s bed or when someone was using the toilet. 2. There are no wipers on the buggy and not enough lights on the roads. Add heavy rains, several speed humps as well as ups and downs making it very difficult to drive at night in such conditions. More overhead lights in the resort would be a welcome safety addition, especially because the roads are also shared with other regular automobiles and buses. 3. There is a small pathway adjacent to the villa from where you can climb down to the tiny rocky beach below. At high tide, the waves are very strong and the sand recedes from your feet very quickly. If you are not careful, you could hit your foot in the sharp rocks easily (some which are buried just a few inches below the sand). Do not let children or weak swimmers go alone – the presence of the rocks is tricky and the water can suddenly rush up very quickly. 4. Everything is on the pricier side and a service charge is added to every bill. Everybody expects a sizeable tip (I am talking $5 - $10 tips) in addition to the charge. This becomes a bit awkward when they are looking at your hands rather than your face, for every small interaction. It’s a bit unusual to expect tipping in addition to a service charge for even bare minimum services and perhaps, the hotel staff could be compensated more adequately. The hotel could then advertise that tipping is not required unless it is for exceptional service at the client’s discretion.

You get to drive your own buggy? Amazing! It's super convenient when driving around to different activities in the resort and gives you the freedom to explore. The privacy of your own villa and pool, the gorgeous views, the excellent housekeeping and service, and the rooms are 10/10. Honestly would not hesitate to recommend to others. If you can afford to pay more, stay here. And if you want to save a little, just bring your own food because the resort's restaurants are on the pricey side (but Kelong Seafood restaurant was soo good).

I would like to thank all the staff at Nirwana Gardens for a wonderful holiday for and my family over the weekend, from 26-28 Oct 2019. It was our first visit to Bintan. We stayed in Indra Maya - very nice villa. The staffs were very helpful. The use of the buggy was very helpful to get around. We tried the various games and enjoyed the nice food at Kelong (we went twice), breakfast at Mayang Sari and Nirvana Resort, Noodle restaurant, spice and BBQ at the villa. And, appreciate the arrangements for the ferry tickets ready for the trip back to Spore. Thank you once again and for making it a truly enjoyable holiday for my family.

Booked the villa through company portal. Is a villa alright. But not well maintained. At the entrance etc there was a fountain with no water etc. I guess upkeep expenses are too high. Overall clean and amenities like shower gel and toothbrush provided. But items are not replenished daily unlike the usual villas we have stayed at. Towels are also not changed daily. Housekeeping at an additional charge including emptying of rubbish bins in the kitchenette. This may be due to the villa is under company not the usual booking outside. Rate is company rate and cheaper compared to outside booking. Villa has 3 bedrooms all with own attached bathrooms. One of the bathrooms has water leaking and thus hot water not working. 2 sofa bed in the living room. Master bedroom has a day bed and a sofa bed on top of the king sized bed. Total I would say whole villa sleeps 10 comfortably. Mosquitoes along the road at night leading to villa. Suggest not to loiter around outside villa for too long before heading back to villa or hopping on to buggy if you are heading out. No extra bin bags were provided also if not we could have emptied our own bins to the main bins along the road. Short walk to the beach. Husband and young son went. I didn't follow. Villa comes with own buggy for easier travel within the resort. Facilities shared among whole nirwana gardens including restaurants and facilities like ATV, shooting range (with Bow and arrows). Good choice of food but very expensive. Certain restaurants are only open on certain days for certain meals like a noodle restaurant only serves dinner but we headed there for lunch and only upon arrival we see the sign at the entrance :( Since there is a fully equipped kitchenette including a rice cooker, will suggest to bring food to cool simple one pot meals :) there is a dulce gusto coffee machine but no capsules are provided, probably because this is under the company booking too. Overall for a short getaway just one hour from singapore, indra maya has spacious villa and nirwana gardens has all amenities like food and activities to make your stay fun and fulfilling.

Dear Nixnaw, Thank you for sharing your stay experience. Your feedback is definitely important to us and we will forward to the management for their attention. As what you have deduced, your stay was booked and owned under the villa owner, owners are prior informed that additional requests (including residential housekeeping services and amenities etc) are available - for which appropriate charges apply due to the agreement made hence the more competitive rate given. We do provide the full amenities if the booking was made through our official site. Rest assured, your feedback has been shared with the team and we appreciate you for giving us the opportunity to enhance the guest experience. On behalf of all the staff of Nirwana Gardens, we wish to thank you for your past stay with us and we hope for another opportunity to deliver a better experience to you in the near future.

Went there on 12/6-15/6/2019. 2 adults and 2 children age 14 and 5. Stay 3N. Rain on and off. My villa was Blowfish 6. Around $700/night ,2 bedrooms SeaFront. 20% discount for all restaurants , free 3 Bowling games per person and private mini van to shuttle 4 of us to and fro ferry terminal. Thanks to Manager Mr Daenuri for the Clean villa and a nice SeaFront view. The villa was very clean, Housekeeping did a great job. The view was very nice. Mine was a SeaFront but still able to see the Sea. (Did not blocked by trees.) No mosquitoes in the pool or in the villa. But at night we closed the door. The pool was clean and can’t feel chlorine. My 2 boys have great fun. Everything were clean (I’m very particular) except for the 3 toilets have mold smell which can’t be control because the toilets have no ventilation. Master room toilet shower room has mold smell if close door. But open door is ok because the toilet were big near outdoor so has some light in. I dislike the shower floor as the water will flood and slow to go to drain. Shower water not strong too. It will be good if all the toilets can renovate. ( that’s y only give 4 stars) Lights were too dark except for kitchen. Pot and pan were old, we didn’t cook or use. Fridge clean, the drinks- 2 beer, soft drink and mineral water in fridge were foc. Kitchen sink has liquid wash and sponge provided but we didn’t use. Floor were clean, can’t feel any sand or dirt on it. Better to bring our hanger to hang the wet swim clothes. Nothing provided. We have a relax stay. Squirrel came in to steal our bananas but we welcome her. We have a buggy for 4 people.Need to see driving license. Only adult are allowed to drive. Buggy were nice but quite small. The back seat were not easy when sit with my 5 years old as the seat has no seat belt or anything to protect from fall so need to hold on to my boy. Feel easy to fall off. *Maya Sari beach were nice , the sand were fine , sea was clear but no towel counter there. My boy went to receptionist asked for a towel as we forgotten to bring our towel. We waited 30mins but no towel, we have dry up. A guy receptionist said he has called the Housekeeping to bring towel but....no one turn up! It would be good if there is a counter for towel. The grille outside the balcony, the gaps were big so have to be careful of young children. Rooms glass door can opens to balcony too. 1 room - 2 small single beds and 1 rm with 1 large king bed. Beds were comfortable. B/F were simple, not much variety ...staff ok. Dino, pool restaurant and Spice restaurant staff were ok too. The whole of Nirwana Garden has maintain very well. Mini zoo seems has change, only left few animals. A fun experience if your children loves to swim in pool for hours. Pool should be from 1.2m to 1.7m.(if not wrong)

Dear pocotan, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for sharing a review. While we are happy to know that you had an overall pleasant visit with us and appreciate the Resort in a whole, we have taken note on certain aspects of the feedback that could be improved. We appreciate such important feedback from our guest so as to ensure that we continue to provide the services in line with our guests’ expectations. In regards to the Mini Zoo, we are happy to announce that most of the wildlife animals in Nirwana Gardens has been relocated to Safari Lodge for their new habitat is ready. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we believe their new location will provide a larger roaming area and feeding space, as we believed in protecting and restoring the natural wildlife on which the animals depend. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Nirwana Gardens have a very strict late check out rule - until 1:00pm, otherwise extra charge without notice. We booked the in-house pool BBQ service on our departure day as we only stayed for 1 night and BBQ needs to be booked a night in advance we could only do it on Day 2. During booking no clear explanation of extra charge for the late check out until you paid.

Dear Fearless08300525872, We are truly sorry about the official check-out time at 12 pm that coincides with your Villa BBQ booking which resulted in additional late check-out charges. Generally, we are flexible about the check-in time, however, due to the limited amount of private pool villa - we have only 7 units, the Resort is strict in turning over the property for the next guest. We have taken note on certain aspects of the communication that could be improved and we truly appreciate such important feedback from our guest so as to ensure that we continue to provide the services in line with our guests’ expectations. We hope to welcome you back for a better experience on your next visit to Bintan.
