We were lucky to stay at the Herangtunet boutique hotel for four nights. The snow season is magic and we enjoyed every bits of our time there. The Aspen suite was amazing, exactly what we expected. Cozy, clean, quiet, full of warm atmosphere. Food was excellent (both breakfast and diner) , massages were good too... So many good things to...

We stayed at Herangstunet for a weekend and found a very welcoming staff and a cosy place. The rooms are unexpected (for a Norwegian) as they have a very urban look. Very comfortable and stylish in a traditional Norwegian setting. Love the combo! Food and service was good and friendly.

The day before Christmas we arrived at Herangtunet boutique hotel after a scenic drive along stunning nature from Oslo Gardermoen. Herangtunet is in a unique location in the Valdres region between Fagernes and Beitostolen. Almost for a decade it is run by Marco and Marie-José who decided to swap city life in Amsterdam and to build a dream in Norway....

We stayed with our family for a week and enjoyed it a lot! The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. Breakfast and diner is very tasteful and delicious. Ski slopes are just about 20 minutes drive away. We definitely will come back to this place.

The rooms are elegant and nice. The whole place a atmosphere which is hard to describe. You rely relax here. The dinner was superb as was the wine package. The negative I could find to mention is that the sign from the slip road is hard to read whens its snowing !! Worth every penny

Hello, Thanks for your review! Let it snow, let it snow! ;-) I hope when people reading this review remember to take the road "left up" from the slip road if it's hard to read the sign. :-) Hope to see you again!

My wife and I, along with our Special Friends had a most wonderful time in this jewel of a hotel. We were the only ones from the USA there; but we met several Norwegians, and all were most friendly, and spoke English. The Hotel is in the middle of the Jotunheimen National Park. Marco, lodge innkeeper and his wife are...

We spent three wonderful nights in the Aspen Suite. It is a very large room with a wood burning stove. The bathroom has a fantastic wooden bath with a rest for your kindle and wine glass! The food is of a high quality but there is no choice so let the management know of any dietary requirements before you go...

Our family loved our stay at Herangtunet Boutique Hotel. It was the best place we stayed and definitely the best meal we had while traveling in Norway. The hosts are wonderful and have really put a lot of thought and care into their wonderful home in the woods! We have two teenagers and the dinner could not have been better...

Herangtunet is a jewel of a boutique hotel in the midst of the Norwegian wilderness. The place has meticously been renovated, and presents itself as a very authentic Norwegian concept - although the entire place has been renovated and is run by a Dutch couple (great people!). When you first come to Herangtunet, it appears as it comes right out...

This really was an excellent place to stay in Norway and a real treat compared to the other hotels we stayed at during our trip. If I was to criticise Norway at all I would say their hotels and breakfasts definitely need work. Herangtunet is a fabulous boutique hotel - we stayed in the Aspen suite for 3 nights and...
