My partner and I & my elderly father and two poodles stayed here for four nights. It was in perfect location and near to many beautiful places to visit. The breakfasts were amazing and the evening meal choice was delicious slightly on the higher price range but worth it. The staff were very friendly nothing too much trouble. The rooms...

Have eaten here several times in the bar but chose to eat in the restaurant this time. It was not what we expected as decor is very different to traditional pub. Service was slow. We had children with us and even to get a drink took some effort. We were almost at the point of going to the bar. Food...

Such a shame..... On arrival at the hotel we were really impressed by the warm friendly welcome we received unfortunately it went down hill from there, we were allocated room 11, the furniture is basic, the bed is similar to an orthopaedic firm bed, (fine if you have a back problem, but we didn't, it was the most uncomfortable bed...

We stayed at the George and Dragon on Saturday night as part of a two day visit to Flamingo land. First impressions were excellent. After checking in we relaxed with a couple of drinks in the very nice bar area. All the rooms are away from the pub across a courtyard which suited us fine as you can retire to...

Stayed overnight on the 7 October 2016, room ok, clean and well serviced. Shower not great. Had an excellent evening meal - seabass with onion mash was lovely. Service great expecially the young male barman. His attention to detail when making coffees was superb. Breakfast great - very good selection. Overall an excellent experience

I unfortunately didn't visit myself. My colleagues did visit for the nearby Trackrod Rally Yorkshire. I really appreciated how the reception staff put up with all the things we needed to cater for our big group, for example all twin rooms and showing up very late on for check in. Everyone had a good night's sleep. I think the only...

An extended and updated High Street atmospheric coaching inn in a North Yorkshire Moors market town, close to Rivaulx Abbey ruins and within an easy drive of Scarboroug, Whitby, Thirsk and Pickering and great walking. A cut-price out of season deal.Excellent food at a reasonable price, although the beers were somewhat outrageously priced; good as they were. Welcoming, friendly and...

The hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. I'm not sure it lived up to its price tag, but overall it's a very satisfactory place to stay overnight. Parking was definitely at a premium. The breakfast was good, but not great.
