Excellent food all round orders got a little muddled but otherwise very satisfied customers from Wakefield West Yorkshire. Shame we weren't there longer as it would've been lovely to sit and chill afterwards

Walkers, cyclists, bikers, motorists this is the place to stop and refresh yourself if your around the area. I regularly stop here and the fare is usually reasonable in quality and price. It's the type of place you want to linger at. If the weather is good, and it was stunning when I called today, there is a large beer...

Great Drive out, great Old Peculier, great food. Great staff. Great part of the World. Close to Whitby that does fab dressed crab. Big car park. I have a fast open top sports car (TVR) and got done for speeding however...60mph max I recommend. Don't you just hate speed cameras.

We cycled a fair few miles with a view to eating here. As you can imagine we had worked up quite the appetite by the time we arrived and so we were most pleased when, after ordering, our starters arrived exceptionally fast and were of good size and quality. The mains too were speedy in their delivery and were really...

The portions in the Lion are huge, just what you need after a long walk on the moors. The staff are so welcoming as are the open coal fires in the winter. It is very much a dog friendly pub, they even keep dog bowls behind the bar. I can highly recommend the lamb chops, steaks, sunday roasts and the...

Whilst doing the latter stages four of our party stayed at the Lion Inn at Blakey. After a hard walk along a disused railway line we came across the inn literally in the middle of nowhere. Upon entering the pub it was jamb packed with customers and very busy. Staff were helpful in getting us to our rooms and the...

Good choice of beers and although limited set menu plenty of specials available. About a 45 minute wait for food but worth the wait. Very good food and plenty of it. Also an excellent location on top of the moors with great views.

Sat outside in the beer garden after a bike ride, got some drinks and a chip butty (with gravy) which was lush and much needed. Always a busy little pub but can normally get parked and served no problem!

This pub has a great location and is very attractive inside. I have eaten here for years and it has been amazing! The menu is unchanged for years as it works and there is a lot of specials on offer that change around a lot. I tend to get the same meal as I like it so much, the meal...

We stopped here after a drive out, This pub is in the middle of nowhere, but is a great stop off for a snack & a nice pint or even a good meal. the food quality is excellent and the surrounding scenery is lovely on a warm summers day to sit out and look out over the rambling hills in...
